Cumin and chicken taco seasoning is on sale. Plus spend $30 and one is free, spend $50 and both are free.
I’m not sure how they figure the value to be $31.95, but free is free! (And it’s still an awesome giveaway.) I wish I lived close enough to a store to pick it up.

Vanilla prices went up (waaaay up) two or three weeks ago due to significant shortages this year. I ordered vanilla and vanilla beans as a preventive measure the Sunday before they went up. They're likely including the cost of the pin and the magnet and the pretty packaging as well, since the vanilla and pico are only $28.90 if I'm mathing right. ($22.95 and $5.95 when purchased separately). Makes me want to rethink ordering by the gift boxes because I'm lazy, they're pretty and Penzey's does the work for me. lol.
ETA: and I'm THRILLED they opened a store near me. In a town I'm frequently in, near stores I frequently shop. I have a fairy godfather looking out for me (well, mom's still alive so...)
Does anyone have recommendations for their seasoning blends? I don't really use any blend except Montreal steak/chicken seasoning but would love to try some others!

We use their Mitchell Street seasoning for steaks and the Turkish seasoning on chicken. Northwoods is good on potatoes in particular. I might get the Northwoods Fire this time.

I have not had a bad one yet.
We love Fox Point on chicken cutlets (and pretty much everything) and I've been using Chicago something (Chicago steak?) on ribs in the Instantpot and they are to die for.

I ordered. $22 to get free shipping + free small cumin and taco seasoning + free gift. I needed almond extract. That was the big expense, $16. We have a great farmers market here where I get most of my spices for very cheap, and they employ mostly refugees and teach them English, as well as, other skills, but I like what Penzy's is doing, and feel like it is a decent deal.

It’s 2oz of vanilla. So 12.95+5.95. They are putting a lot of value on the pin and magnet.
It’s $13.05 left for the shipping, packaging, magnet, pin, advertising, etc. Don’t forget that they have to pay for all their ads now so these deals really do cost them more money if people don’t buy anything on top of the freebies.
Their headquarters are across from my husband’s company... the one Cheeto attacked last week... so I went in and dropped a bunch of $$ today. Funnily enough I put in so many south of the border items including these two (didn’t even know what was in the box) and when I opened it, I laughed so hard that I just got double. I’m ok with that. My Mexican/Tejana self uses these enough. Hahaha.
ETA: I picked up locally: -salsa and pico -Mexican vanilla extract -Southwest seasoning -Sandwich sprinkle -Mural of flavor -Pasta sprinkle -Penzey’s frozen pizza seasoning (I’m intrigued) -cream of tartar (for cleaning purposes) -cocoa -Tuscan sunset -northwoods Fire (thanks to dd2 who picked it up and opened and broke the seal, lol) And then got free: Gift box with more salsa & pico and Mexican vanilla Plus because I spent over $50 I got cumin seed and chicken taco seasoning free.
I've tried the now curry and it was underwhelming. If you prefer milder curries it would be a good choice. It reminded me of a generic indian curry with no heat; I spiced mine up with some ghost pepper curry add a bit of heat. It isn't bad; I just prefer my curry to have a different flavor.

Absolutely! I’m certainly not complaining. It’s a very generous offer regardless of the price. It’s just that usually when they say it’s a $XX value, you can easily add up the product cost.
I was intrigued by the frozen pizza mix, too. I was pleasantly surprised! We put it on a supreme pizza from Sam’s Club and it really added a lot of nice flavor. We had friends over that night and I was not excited about making Sam’s pizza, but everyone enjoyed it! I also LOVE their sandwich sprinkle! It’s my favorite so far!
alleinesein, they have a hot curry that my sister just bought. She felt similar about the curry. She called it an “everyone’s curry” because it had good flavor, but no heat.
My sister went to the store for the first time today (first time customer since I passed some of my stuff along to her and told her about their willingness to take a stand). I think she somehow managed to get me a box, too!

I went to our local store today for the first time to get a gift for some neighbors who are letting us stay at their house for a few days while we move. And I picked up the free gift for myself — VERY excited about the vanilla!!!
