Well, I'm going to go ahead old school in this thread.
Some of y'all are being deliberately obtuse.
No one is saying the company needs to provide meat at company events.
While sharing dietary information is NBD to some of y'all, it is for some, especially when it is health related. Telling them to just deal is really shitty. No one should be put in a situation where they're getting grilled (ha) because they get an exemption from company policy.
It’s the opposite though. They’re not forcing anyone to eat meat. Are there any religions that don’t allow you to eat vegetables?
My mom hosted a dinner once and someone brought a friend who was visiting from out of town. This man brought his own food to eat because he's a vegetarian and said that his religion doesn't allow him to eat beans because his religion is about peace and beans create explosions.
and then he proceeded to eat only food my mom served and none of the food he brought.
I'very only made it this far but I would like to know which religion this is.

I have no idea, but my guess is that he made it up.

I didn't read all the non-sense in this thread, so this maybe new, but it's published 7/20.
After WeWork announced it won't serve beef, pork or poultry at company functions, and won't reimburse its 6,000 employees for meals with meat, the N.Y. Times talks to co-founder and chief culture officer Miguel McKelvey:
"The company is phasing out leather furniture, single-use plastics and is going carbon neutral. In time, he said, the company will evaluate its consumption of seafood, eggs, dairy and alcohol."
