I figured I’d give cjcouple a break and post something. 😉
What are you up to this weekend?
We have a relatively low key weekend and I’m excited! Haha
Friday night- We had dinner with my parents. Today- laundry and workouts this morning. The dog gets groomed this afternoon... and then nothing! Yay! We have lots of projects around the house that need to get done, so I’m hoping we can cross some of those off our list. Sunday- I’d love to head to the zoo just because. We didn’t go much this summer because I taught summer school and took grad school classes, so I’d like to get some days in to get our money’s worth!

I love that there’s activity here! I missed you ladies! :-)
Sat: DH is hosting a crawfish feed for a board he’s on; he’s going to be tied up all day. We’re still in school recovery mode, and it’s raining, so I think the kids and I will chill at home. I have a school mom’s event this evening.
Sun: BBQ at a friend’s house.
I’m also deep into organizing all the closets and drawers in my house, and I’m leaving for a trip next weekend and need to figure out what to pack.

Last night we crashed, as per usual on Friday nights, especially after the first “week” of school (barely counts since we started Thursday lol).
This morning Drew was supposed to have soccer. It got canceled when we were on our way, but we hung out on the playground for a bit. Heading to get Julia a new phone battery then my ILs are coming for dinner. Tomorrow my mom is having everyone at her house for dinner, and both of my siblings will be there, which will be excellent.
Monday we’re off for Rosh Hashanah, so I’m not sure what I’m doing with the kids that day yet. DH has work and I have Borough Council in the evening.
I have a low key weekend too. Just had a U10 soccer game for DS2. He played so great. Won 8-0. He didnt score but he did take about 6 shots in goal. lol. I do feel bad for opposing team. Really surprised how much they struggled. They had 15 kids (we play 7v7) and we had 8.
Now I need to do a lot of cleaning. Laundry isn't terrible but I really need to declutter. and I want to wash baseboards and walls. And hand wash my kitchen floor.
tomorrow? Absolutely nothing. Pats play at 1 so probably grabbing some yummy food and watching with boys :-)

Well let’s see, Friday night was our monthly date night with our the kids who sttn so dh and I took the baby and hit a very shady part of town for AMAZING Mexican food. Today we checked out a new park, went apple picking, dd1 and dh went for a 6 mile bike ride/run and I took dd2 swimming, and our church had their fall kick off so we stayed for dinner and games. Tomorrow looks calmer with a lot of chores and meal prepping and a little work for me.
My big kids' first day of school is tomorrow and it always makes me (and them) feel kind of off. Lots of nervous energy and feeling like we should be doing something exceptionally fun but mostly just trying to get things done.
Friday we had a super busy day but the highlight was that I had a special outing with DD2, who is starting kindergarten. We went to zoo class (our zoo does cute classes for kids & parents) b/c it was about flamingos, which are some of her FAVORITE animals. We went to lunch and class, and then walked around the zoo a bit. It was really nice one-on-one time and probably our last (sniff) time going to a parent-child zoo class.
Saturday we had the first soccer games of the season. DD1, DS, and DD2 are all playing this year. DD2 was GREAT! She was crying on the way there and then got on the field and LOVED IT.
Today we skipped church and were lazy and had pancakes. Now I am doing laundry, running errands, planning for a VERY busy week, and organizing last-minute things for school tomorrow. We're going to grill out turkey burgers and corn for dinner. It's very cool here (60s) but bright and sunny, so a nice day for the kids to get some fresh air before school. Going to try, try, try to get them all to bed early!
