Sounds like fun! Nothing special around here, currently running DS' bath, then hopefully DH and I will have a bit of a 'date night' once DS is asleep...if we don't fall asleep first, lol!
WOW!! cjcouple I hope it went well! I bet it was CRAAAZZZY.
We had 3 soccer games and the soccer picnic today. DH & I went out tonight with neighbors to a really neat party. Some people have a huge barn party each fall (we are in a rural-ish area, but not THAT rural that having a barn party is common!). They had the barn all cleaned up with lights hanging up, and hay bales to sit on, and they actually had a square dance caller. It was so much fun! I'd love to do it again. Then later they had a bluegrass band (four old guys in Western shirts) playing out by the fire pits. Plus tons of food, games for kids, etc (we didn't bring our kids). We also got to see their horses and talk to their daughter about them, and that was very interesting.
Then we got home at 11:00 and ALL FOUR KIDS were still up. In bed, but all up. UGH. They are exhausted. Tomorrow they have their first faith formation class of the year (Catholic Sunday school) and I sooo wish they didn't. They are going to be so wiped out.
nicolewi surprising they are so chill!! Not loud at all. However their sanity might be in question. they all woke up at vb 7am and headed outside to play football!!!
That sounds fun! Last night we got a sitter and went with my parents to bluegrass and wine festival. It was surprisingly fun!
Tomorrow I start a healthy habits program at my gym. I need to plan my meals, go shopping, and meal prep. Dh and I are also going to “run” a trail to prep for our spartan race... what was I thinking?!
What a fun way to celebrate a birthday. I am hoping that sleepovers grow on me. LOL. My son had his first 2 this summer. Between his night wetting he outgrew a year ago and his thumb sucking I know he still does when he sleeps, there weren't many good opportunities. He doesn't get invited many places because parents are hesitant with his food allergies, but we are getting there. I have found that all of his friends (from sleepovers and talking to their moms) get up before 7 still. UGH! My DD will sleep until 8:30 or later if nobody wakes her!

Most are much earlier risers than my boys. My kids will sleep but other kids? Not so much.
