I am sad that we can't take SW as much. The flights between AZ and DC are never the cheapest option! Plus, I think (last time I checked) they had no direct flights. Boo.

SW would never have a direct flight that long. Their business model is 2-3 hour long flights that just go go go...connecting smaller airports to bigger airports using the same aircraft to cut down on training and maintainence.

Yeah, it just sucks since I don't fly to many places that are 2-3 hours. Boo again.
I didn't read this post, so I don't know it if was mentioned. It's something I don't think I understand about purchasing multiple tickets with airlines. Why can't tickets be purchased together and seats assigned at the time of purchase? Is this not the case with discount ticket providers (i.e. Expeida, Orbitz, Travelocity, etc.) or directly with airlines?
I don't like this post. I will be traveling in May with a newborn and a toddler. H will be with me. I just can't imagine the pain of juggling a BFing NB, and a toddler who prefers to sit next to momma. The flight is only 2 1/2 hours and I hope we all make it fine.
