Does anyone have experience with this? I started spotting yesterday morning and then it stopped. A couple hours later, I started gushing blood. We went into the ER and after blood work and ultrasound they determined I had a sub chorionic hemorrhage. The did see the sac and a fetal pole, but due to how early in my pregnancy it is (6 weeks) they couldn’t detect a heartbeat, which was expected. They did a beta which was 23000. I am also on blood thinners as part of my IVF protocol, which I am sure that doesn’t help the bleeding. I have follow up blood work tomorrow and an appointment with my doctor in the afternoon, but I am just wondering how long the bleeding lasts? Has anyone had this before?
Update: they screwed up my ultrasound and rescheduled the one I had yesterday, so we had to wait until today. Longest day ever, but we saw a heartbeat! I now go to my obgyn tomorrow, but for now, I can breathe easier for a few days! Thanks for your support 😊
I won't be much help because I didn't bleed with mine, but the SCH lasted from 6-10 weeks. I'm now 25 weeks and everything is fine. My OB doesn't seemed concerned at all with it and said they are fairly common. Many pregnancies go on to be successful.

I had one with DS at 13weeks. I was terrified. I think I had about 2 days of bleeding, really heavy at first then it tapered off to spotting. They did a few extra ultrasounds and I think maybe like a week of pelvic rest. It had resolved by week 16. Lots of toughts and prayers for you!

I had one at 9 weeks with DS. I bled quite significantly for about 12 hours. Nothing after that. My OB put me on bed rest for 1 week and then released me from that, but it stuck around on the u/s for a while after that if not for the whole pregnancy. I still took it easy for most of my pregnancy which is reflected in how fat I got.
Apparently they're quite common with IVF pregnancies.
Hugs! It's so scary, but chances are better than not that everything is just fine.
latte how did your blood work and appointment go? We’re they yesterday or are they today? I hope you’re feeling better and that your bleeding has tapered off and that you get / got reassurance from your doc.
Thanks for asking. ❤️ I had my beta done this morning and saw my doctor this afternoon, but my Hcg level didn’t increase like it should have, and since I am still bleeding and it’s bright red she said that it wasn’t a great outlook. So I go for another beta on Monday and then my ultrasound on Tuesday. I have an appointment with my obgyn after my ultrasound but it doesn’t seem like I should be expecting anything good. She did say there is a chance everything will be ok, but to prepare for the fact it won’t be.
Thank you everyone for your good thoughts. Today is the first day I haven’t woken up bleeding, so I hope that is a good sign. It’s the waiting that’s the worst for sure.

I really hope this is a good sign. Thinking of you.
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. Sending good thoughts and hugs to you. I am sure the waiting is so long and tough today. I do hope it's a good sign you aren't bleeding this morning. ((Take care this weekend.))
Thinking positive thoughts for you, today latte. I think its encouraging that your bleeding has stopped, and I hope your little bean is snuggled in for the long haul.
I got my blood work done this morning, so now I am just waiting for the results. Tomorrow is our ultrasound and Ob appointment. I have been bleeding off and on all weekend and any pregnancy symptoms I did have, are all gone, so I don’t have high hopes, but you never know. Thanks everyone ❤️
I just got the call from the dr, and my beta numbers have doubled, which is what they want to see. But I am still bleeding... so, for now, it’s a hurry up and wait for the ultrasound tomorrow. My Ob appointment is right after so I am not sure they will have the ultrasound report by then, but I hope so.
