For anyone interested in following along with the tour, this is one of my favorite Meghan blogs - they always break down the event first and then get to the fashion, and they have a clock up with the time in Australia, lol! ETA and they also are pretty strict about the comments, which is a nice change.
I love that Harry introduced Meghan to his favorite Aussie (98 year old Daphne Dunne who he met in 2015 and saw again in 2017). I can't link on my phone but KP posted a photo and there's lots of videos on Twitter. I actually teared up because he's so happy to see her and she's just as happy to see him and they do a full out, honest hug and then after they talk a few minutes he happily calls over Meghan and you can tell she's heard all about this woman.

I saw a video on twitter (I need to go back and see if I can find it but it doesn't matter bc I cant link to twitter on here haha) of Harry walking next to Meghan and pointing out every crack and bump in the sidewalk. It's really freaking cute.

It’s just occurring to me that Pippa’s kid obviously has no title or claim to anything despite being nephews to the future Queen. There’s something so weird about that, their first cousin is a future king and they’re literally nothing.

Technically he'll be a Scottish lord someday (James Matthews' father bought an estate in Scotland about ten years ago - Glen Affric I think or something along those lines, its near Loch Ness* and so his father is now Lord Glen Affric or something and James will inherit the title and Pippa will be Lady Glen Affric.) It is interesting though, because while William and Harry have Spencer cousins, they are still nobility, and the Middletons are not.
*I vaguely knew that information, but yesterday I was trying to find out if Pippa had had her baby yet** and stumbled on an article about the wedding of James' brother, which was at the estate, so the info is fresh in my mind. I'm not THAT into the royal family and royal-adjacents ;-)
**I get really bored at work sometimes.
***also, there is some general speculation that William will give the Middletons a title when he becomes king (if they are still alive, because those Windsors outlive everyone), but that wouldn't affect Pippa.

I doubt Pippa's kid will care much. A title doesn't mean much if you don't have money. And you don't really care about a title if you have money, which this kid will have. And lots of it.

Oh, I know the titles are virtually meaningless. It’s more just so weird that a future King’s blood relative is a peasant lol! Just random things to contemplate.

Interesting! It was just a totally random thought. Like, my cousins are my best friends even as an adult, so being a regular person while my BFF is king in training just seems so weird!

Was it his brother Spencer? I used to watch when he was on Made In Chelsea, he has been on a ton of reality shows, I didn't know he got married.
frlcb, yes! he married vogue. Vogue....Williams? I cant remember her last name. She is pregnant as well. Spencer says that everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to; they just wanted something small and personal, the nursery is all done, etc.

The Hello! article was very informative lol.
Yeah, they had a boy last month (I fell down a spencer stalking hole after reading this lol). I always wonder if he has any interactions with the Royal family, since he has so much reality tv history, including being on the bachelor in the UK!
frlcb, aw that's kind of fun that she had a boy! There are going to be so many cousins close in age across the families - the royal family obviously has a bunch of young cousins, and then adding in Baby Sussex to the mix, and then Pippa's boy will have Louis a few months older, Spencer's boy - they are going to have noisy holidays growing up lol.
According to celebitchy, people knew before the wedding. Which the initial release included something like congratulate them on Friday in person or something so I thought it meant they hadn't seen them since the news had been shared. But then other outlets reported they told people there.

I don't really care, because I think it's fine either way. If it was a huge AW announcement, it would have leaked out so it obviously wasn't that.
some of those people on CB are taking this whole thing wayyyyy too seriously. (says the person who has actively participated in a 6 page thread here on the topic.)

Zara and Peter Phillips are also their first cousins, and, not only that, their mother is the Princess Royal and their grandmother is the Queen, and they have no titles.

And congrats to Pippa. I want to hear the name.
I'm not a royal watcher by any stretch, but damn if they aren't just the most genuinely sweet people. That was fun to watch.

It's not unprecedented. In Ye Olden Times (an officially recognized period in history), royals had lots of non-royal blood relatives because of affairs and bastard children (I'm looking at you, Henry VIII).

Oh, I figured it wasn’t unprecedented! In order to avoid being entirely inbred they had to welcome other families in through marriage,’ it just wasn’t something I considered until today since Kate’s sister just had her first.
She's got to be about three months along. She can't possibly be showing yet.
I had strangers asking me at 10 weeks with my second. I told my work at 12 weeks with my first, and they'd all known for awhile but thankfully didn't ask about it. I showed very early with both. I had to tell family right before my sister's wedding that I was pregnant. I was only 9 weeks but obviously showing if you knew me and wouldn't be drinking alcohol. I did do it a few days before though.

Sure, but their mother is the princess royal and their grandmother is the queen like you said lol. That’s not quite the same thing as Eugene Matthews.

I think they're still royal even if they don't have titles...I mean, they are in the line of succession for the throne.

They’re in line for the throne but do not have a HRH title so they’re not royalty.
They’ve arrived in Dubbo for the day. Meghan is wearing a jacket from Serena Williams collection and Twitter is already speculating that it’s to show support for Serena after that cartoon was published after the US open.
