2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? My 28 week OB appointment is this afternoon, and I'll find out of I passed or failed the 1 hour glucose test. I took it on Friday and they posted my results in my online portal that night, but my number was 135 and I can't remember what my OB said their cutoff is (other than that it's lower than 140). Ugh! I just want to know!
We also have an appointment with the hospital's Maternity Care Coordinator today, apparently to talk about hospital stuff like pre-registering, birth certificate paperwork, and birthing classes.
3. Questions for the group? How would you describe the feeling when baby has hiccups? I keep feeling this light, rhythmic tapping, almost like a pulsation, and I'm not sure if it's normal or not. (Yes, I'll also be asking my OB about it at my appointment).
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? Pumpkin pie, for sure.
1. How far along are you this week? 7+2. This may be the longest pregnancy ever, lol.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Just whines. I'm a hormonal trainwreck. And we went to dinner on Saturday. I wore an empire dress and ate a pile of food, but I seriously looked 20 weeks pregnant. It's out of control. 3. Questions for the group? Not this week! 4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? I'm not really a pie person. Cake 4 lyfe.
1. How far along are you this week? 26+6. I can't believe I am almost done with the second trimester!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We got all our furniture delivered this weekend, so just need to start assembling it. Now that my son's birthday party is over, I feel like I can start focusing on this baby! Also, baby had hiccups for the first time that I noticed last night! It was adorable but also sort of hurt!
3. Questions for the group? None right now.
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? Really any of them! I've been craving a good apple pie with some ice cream lately.
katespade, I could always tell it was hiccups because I could feel him moving in two places at the exact same time, and it would happen in intervals until they went away.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We saw the baby's heartbeat again last week and I graduated from the RE. My first appt with my OB isn't until 11+3 which feels forever away. I really want to get my old person testing so I can find out the sex. I don't know how I was team green last time!
I also already feel super bloaty and am gaining weight. With DS I only gained 12lbs total and was all belly, that is soooo not happening this time ha.
3. Questions for the group? when does 1st tri exhaustion abate? I can't remember and I'm ready to get some energy back.
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? I'm not really a pie girl, but I guess I'd say pecan.
katespade, that's exactly how baby hiccups felt for me.
1. How far along are you this week? 20w3d STM with twins
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I'm feeling good about my goal to be completely baby ready by Christmas. I'm buying things as they go on sale or pop up on BST, and the nursery is (mostly) cleaned out and ready to be made into an actual nursery. Babies still don't have names, but we'll be ready for them! My third (omg) anatomy scan is this week plus the fetal echo. Hoping they see everything they need and I get a break from the MFM.
3. Questions for the group? Not this week
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? Probably Key Lime
scm1011 - For me, I seem to remember that the exhaustion stuck around until the end of first tri. Once I got into second, I started noticing that I was able to get away with less naps and more reasonable bedtimes again. lol.
2. This pregnancy was much wanted and took us a while to achieve, but I'm bummed at how down I have been feeling about it. It's been almost 4 weeks since my BFP, and all the bummer first tri stuff has hit me so much earlier and harder than last pregnancy. So much more nausea, fatigue, bloat, breast soreness, more nausea, no energy to workout, still more nausea, etc. while publicly faking that everything is normal. Still 9 more days until my first u/s to know that everything's going ok so far. I'm remembering last time where basically I felt like crap about my body for a solid 2 years (pregnancy + the nursing year in which I couldn't lose weight until I weaned). It's all feeling very overwhelming and never ending. I know I won't stay feeling as bad as I am now for that whole time, but I'm not feeling rational about it. It's like I forget what it's like to not stop and ask "will this make me puke?" before I eat anything.
3. Nope
4. Oh god pie. I can't even. Sweet things are making me so ill right now. In good news at least I will eat zero Halloween candy this year.

1. How far along are you this week? 14weeks today
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? AW: DS (4) is soooo excited about getting a baby brother, he keeps talking about all the things they are going to do together and all the toys he is going to save for the baby, it is so sweet!
Vent: My next appointment isn't until Nov 9th. After going in at 8, 10, and 12 weeks that seems like such a long wait.
3. Questions for the group? None right now
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? Key lime or pecan depending on the weather.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I'm sick again, ugh. This time it's a chest cold with a dry cough that hurts my throat. Ughhhh.
3. Questions for the group? None
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? I'm not really a huge pie fan but I love me some pumpkin pie and key lime.

1. How far along are you this week? 9 weeks today.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Still nauseous all day long. It's really the only thing I have to complain about. Something I eat that tastes good one day will be the same thing that sets off a wave of nausea the next. It's exhausting.
3. Questions for the group? None at the moment.
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? There is a local pie place I'm obsessed with, that makes a Bananas Foster that is to die for and one called Wobbly Turtle that is chocolate and heath bar. IT'S SO GOOD.
1. How far along are you this week? 7w1d. Ultrasound to day to hopefully see/hear a heartbeat. Pretending to give a shit at work is the worst.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I've only had like 3-4 days of nausea thus far but holy sh*t I'm tired by 6:30 every night. And my husband doesn't understand that the tiredness doesn't have to do with the lack of sleep. More sleep doesn't necessarily mean I'll be less tired. But he keeps critiquing my sleep (ie: "well you stayed up so late reading that book" when in reality I was sleeping by 9 pm) which means he may be dead and buried by the end of this pregnancy. And what's even more annoying is that he's downloaded like 5 "dad pregnancy" apps so he thinks he's a damned expert on what is happening in my body right now. Don't any of those apps explain to you that I'M JUST TIRED and it's NOT MY FAULT??? #firsttimedad
3. Questions for the group? Not right now. Just think good thoughts for ultrasound today (two more hours, ugh)
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? No pie for me please.

1. How far along are you this week? 17 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? So annoyed that I'm in that stage where I'm not having any symptoms, but I can't feel the baby, and because I'm severely overweight, I have no baby bump either. I just want to know that everything is ok in there!
3. Questions for the group? Nada
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? French Silk or Apple

1. How far along are you this week? 13+3
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? NIPT came back on Friday and all is good. Found out we’re having a girl and told DS on Saturday (both that I’m pregnant and he’s having a little sister) and his reaction was so sweet and priceless. Saw some our immediate family over the weekend and told them in person.
3. Questions for the group? Any recommendations for business casual work pants?
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? I love Boston Cream! Runner up would be Key Lime.
2. Weekly appts start this week and hopefully today is my last day in the office (even though I'll work @ home until I go into labor or get induced). I'm just about over being pregnant, so tired stuffy and can't imagine if I have another 4 weeks.
3. Can someone tell me when baby will come? Haha
4. All the pie. Especially warm pie with ice cream. Now I want pie.
woowoo - My H has been pretty good about letting me feel how I feel and not questioning it too much, but on Saturday he actually said the words, "I don't understand why you can't just not be worried about things sometimes." ...He's lucky to still be alive at this point.

I totally forgot to mention this but we told my SOs mom and my son on Thursday. My MIL was ecstatic and my son reacted as expected and cried lol. It was hilarious and I caught it all on my phone. Perfect reactions.
My son says he's not happy but he got out of the car on Friday and yelled it to the principal at school.
2. I had a somewhat eventful week last week. At my 32 week appointment, they thought the baby's head was super low and my cervix was short (?), so I had to be at the hospital overnight for treatments to strengthen baby's lungs and brain in case they come early. No one seemed really concerned, so it was just an annoyance. Now I have to go weekly from here on out, which is going to be so annoying since I'm trying to save my paid time off.
3. I'm fairly certain this was discussed before, but I'm starting to look for "coming home" outfits and I'm feeling uninspired. I thought I wanted to get something kind of dressy, but nothing is standing out. Anyone want to share links or pics?
4. I don't love pie. I'm more of a chocolate cake kind of girl. So if I had to pick, probably something like chocolate mousse pie!

katespade, I thought hiccups felt a lot like I was twitching. Basically it felt like any other movement, but rhythmic. I have to admit that it was my least favorite part of feeling the baby move. Also, I was really anxious during pretty much my entire pregnancy last time (not as much this time, although it definitely hits me sometimes), and my husband just did not get it, but then once the baby was born - and for the next two years - he became a total spazz with constantly worrying about her.
scm1011, I started feeling a little better around 12 weeks, and by 14 weeks, pretty consistently felt good and energetic.
Susie, I've hit a couple periods of mental struggle this pregnancy too. I actually had some (relatively minor) depression issues in first tri, which I believe was related to hormones. But in general, starting over with all the pregnancy and new baby struggles is definitely overwhelming.

1. How far along are you this week? 27w4d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I'm probably going to have to stop running soon. I'm starting to feel pressure on my bladder while running, which my midwife warned me could cause long-term issues. It's disappointing, because it actually feels really good as far as heart rate and breathing and all the things that are usually hard during running. (Granted, I'm going really slowly and taking plenty of walk breaks, so I'm not really challenging myself.)
3. Questions for the group? Does anyone have a belly support band or maternity band they like? I've never really liked the one I have.
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? It's hard to choose, because with pie, it's fun to eat whatever is in season. But key lime is always a good one.
RE: running, does your MW have a particular HR that you should stay under? I can't remember what my OB told me last time, maybe 145ish? I was doing NROLFW and running when I got pregnant. I've been pretty flat out recently with fatigue, but it's only been 1.5 week since my last workout. As soon as I have the energy I want to get back in the swing of it, I think it will help me mentally and physically. I don't have enough confidence to feel comfortable lifting heavy during pregnancy, so I'm thinking of just running as long as I can. I just can't remember the HR benchmark (or even if that's still a thing).
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I scored 4 huge garbage bags of newborn-1yr clothing from an amazing mom friend. I now own baby uggs. Ridiculously cute! 😍
3. Questions for the group?
4. Tomorrow is National Boston Cream Pie Day. What's your favorite kind of pie? Apple

Mine didn't give me a number, but told me to keep it at a level where I could easily have a conversation while running.
I hear you on the fatigue, its brutal. I've been forcing myself to run 2-3x a week since I was cleared ~2 weeks ago, but I've been keeping it at 2-3 miles tops. I actually felt great after my run on Saturday, so I'm hoping if I keep it up it will help with the fatigue and let me run throughout my pregnancy like I did with DS.

Hm, neither midwife I've talked to about running have mentioned anything about heart rate. But I am seriously so slow that I can't imagine it's an issue.
I've stepped back with lifting, but I'm still keeping up with it. I almost never lift really intensely (I just don't enjoy it enough), but it makes me feel good to keep up my short workouts twice a week. There are so many exercises that I just can't see being an issue during pregnancy - most arm/shoulder exercises, lunges, dumbbell variations of squats, step-ups. I play it safe on any exercise that I'm uncertain about, like regular deadlifts (still doing Romanian), crunches, or planks. But there have definitely been a few times, especially in first tri, when I just couldn't bring myself to do the workouts - and I'm lucky that while I still hate the first trimester, it's not as bad for me as it is for a lot of people.

katespade, that's exactly how baby hiccups felt for me.
I had insomnia and exhaustion until almost exactly 14w. I was on progesterone from my FET until 10w and the dr said it could take 4 weeks to get through my system which ended up being right on. Not sure if that's the case for you but hoping you're back to normal soon!

Thanks! I cannot wait to be done with progesterone and estrodial patches. My ass and stomach are a hot mess of bruises, scabs, and red irritation marks.
