Anatomy scan was today and everything looks perfect! Fetal echo too, and same. The MFM said baby looks "gorgeous." My anterior placenta is starting to move up, yay. It is now merely low lying (about 1 cm from my cervix) rather than previa (covering the cervix).
All in all, I was there about 1.5 hour, and about 50 min of that was ultrasound and fetal echo combined.
KellyEasterbrook - We knew from the beginning that we would be hiring one, but we paid the deposit and signed the contract with our doula when I was about 20 weeks.

Sorry I'm late to the party, Happy Halloween! 1. How far along are you this week?
9+1
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
So last Monday I had an appointment with a midwife at the hospital, apparently it was just a booking appointment to let them know I plan to deliver there. I am living in the UK and this is my first pregnancy so I am not sure what is supposed to happen at every appointment, but there was no confirmation of my pregnancy at all. I find this a bit odd as my next appointment is my ultrasound at 12 weeks. I just feel like maybe there should be something in between that? Maybe not? Ha I don't know. But I am hesitating telling anyone because it just doesn't feel real yet and hearing a heartbeat or something would have helped me realize this is happening. So I guess we wait to tell until after the ultrasound.
3. Questions for the group?
I don't think I have any right now.
4. Any fun Halloween plans this week? Gonna hit up a hog roast and bonfire this weekend for Guy Fawkes night. I think there will be fireworks
Had the anatomy scan this morning, and found out we're having a girl! 😁 I wish we had gotten better ultrasound pics, but at least everything looked good.
2. Just waiting for labor to start! I was 2/70-80% at the office on Tuesday, we went walking that night and then Wednesday afternoon/evening and yesterday evening I was losing a lot of mucous plug. Last night was my last shift at work, woohoo! I am officially on maternity leave. Now I just need baby to show up so we can enjoy it together . I had several offers from coworkers to strip my membranes, but I decided to wait and see what happens, since it does seem like my cervix is doing some stuff on its own. I may take them up on it if nothing happens over the weekend though, ha! Official due date is Sunday.
3. For FTM, how soon after losing your plug did you go into labor? I know if can vary a lot, I'm just curious.
4. I was working Halloween, we had a ton of candy. Tonight and tomorrow I'm going to check out some Dia de los Muertos festivals/celebrations around the city. Hoping to walk around enough to maybe kick start labor.
