Watch Amazon for deals on packing cubes. I bought them for $8.88 for each color and they were awesome. My boys were 5,6 and 6 last year and they knew which color was theirs and made it so much easier. Other tips: bring toiletries that you don’t mind throwing away at the end of your stay, night lights for the bathroom, and we had laundry so pods and dryer sheets. Not sure if your children would like it or not but my boysbloved doing the penny squishing machines so I packed them a mini m&m tube with pennies and quarters. They didn’t care about character signatures. Also purchased light up Mickey necklaces at amazon before and they loved them and so did we because we could see them easily. Have fun!!

For the 4 of us our last trip, I used packing cubes. We had 2 suitcases and in case of a lost/misplaced bag, I had some of each of our stuff in each suitcase. It was super easy to get everything sorted out with the packing cubes. I have the ebags medium in 3 different colors and large in a fourth. I packed a blanket for each of my kids that they use at home. We went at a particularly cool time (it was 15ish degrees cooler than the surrounding weeks) so we used them in the mornings in the stroller, and in bed so they would have something familiar, but my kids were 18m and 3. We brought white noise machines bc we use them at home. We rented a DVC villa so we brought dishwasher pods, washing machine pods, etc. in our checked bags (double ziplock bagged).

I own packing cubes and while it is nice to have stuff grouped, I definitely am a less efficient packer- I don’t fit nearly as much stuff in my suitcase when i use them.
Yes on packing cubes. I’ve always been a REALLY good packer, and resisted packing cubes for way too long because I felt like I could pack better without them. I can’t. They are amazing and make packing SO much easier. They also compress clothes inside a little bit, so you can fit more in them than you think you could.
I have the Amazon Basics ones, which i think were about $15 for a set of 5. They work great.
Yes to the cubes. I got each of us a set in a different color. That way when I double up in a suitcase, I can just hand the red cubes to my DS and those are all of his items. Purple are mine, etc.
I ordered some cubes - thanks all! I like to have a set of clothes in carry-ons in case we lose the checked luggage. This will make it easy to organize them when we get settled in our room.
I travel for work all the time, but this is a whole new effort!

I always pack super inefficiently so that when you are packing to leave, you have room for souvenirs by packing efficiently.
One thing that I didn't thing I would like but it ended up being so useful was a Pop up hamper. I had to empty it about halfway through my trip but it was better than having dirty clothes all over.
