We had our foundation checked because we have all these cracks showing up in our walls . Foundation is fine but the crazy wet/dry spell PLUS the contractor we hired before moving in did a shitty job retexturing/painting. So now we have to fill in the cracks and basically repaint the house.
Most likely any mud or texture he used on the walls was probably still wet when he sanded it and painted. They do sometimes wet sand the walls to cut down on Dust however you have to know what you're doing. If you need any tips feel free to p.m. my fiance it's been a drywall finisher for 30 years.
It's been nice out for a few days so I, of course, feel like absolute shit. Hoping this cold front coming in will help and REALLY hoping the rain it's bringing holds off until we get home from ballet. I love her studio but they have the worst parking lot ever.
My parents are coming this weekend to visit from TX, so of course it's going to be in the low 40's the whole time they are here. They are going to be cold. At least it won't be raining, for once.
I freaking hate hot weather and humidity, but they moved to TX largely for the weather and I know they are going to hate the cold. I get easily irritated about this subject with them so I am bummed that the reasonably nice fall weather we've had in the last couple of weeks is leaving just in time for their visit.

That would be amazing. I will - y’all aren’t in DFW by any chance are you?
Small jar + apple cider vinegar + a drop or 2 of dish soap will fix your problem in a few hours. Every year, I catch about 100 fruit flies like that at my work.
I do that at home whenever I get them and it works like a charm. Building Facilities has been trying all kinds of different things and has told us that any liquids left on our desks will be disposed of. I might still try though placing it on top of a cabinet above eye level. Meanwhile it's been two weeks and they aren't getting any better.
Yeah, no. They've had 2 weeks to solve the problem. I'd be making a daily batch in my office to control the infestation in my space.

If they aren’t fruit flies (more brown/red) they may be fungus Kant’s or something similar from someone’s potted plant (those are more black/grey and they buzz your face all the time). That will require spraying the soil of plants instead. We had theses and they now are finally coming under control after like a month+. Good luck!
I had to go see an orthopedic dr yesterday about my elbow. He took x-rays and nothing is broken and he said there is no swelling around the joints so that looks good. Before doing an MRI he wants me to do PT for a few weeks. I am fine with that BUT my schedule is really tight the next 2 months and I have been playing phone tag with the PT office today. Something tells me these appointments are not going to be easy to fit in.
