How updated is your resume? If someone asked for it today, would it be:
1 - Ready to go. Completely up to date, just needs some minor customization to tailor towards the role. 2 - Updated through your most recent job switch 3 - Resume? You'll have to start from scratch. 4 - Something else? Explain below.

I've been at my job 10 years and it's my first and only job out of law school. My resume is woefully out of date and looks like a student's. I started to update it recently with my accomplishments at this job and I had a hard time editing it down. Basically my resume is almost no resume right now.
For some reason, I started looking at mine today. It doesn't include the current role. And the current role description is basically a repeat of the prior role description with different #'s for $$ under management.
Our main competitor announced last week that next year they are laying off 30% of exempt staff. I immediately ensured my resume was updated and applied for a couple of jobs. Now my employer has said they have no plans to do what the competitor did, so I can calm myself back down.
I think an RFP I was involved with a few years ago required resumes and I did a quick update then - but I haven’t done a real one since I looked for a job over 10 years ago.
I have one from my job search 3 years ago. My linked in shows my current role and title. I’ve been creating packages for RFPs for our company and working on various resumes, including mine, so it’s updated but very customized to show specific project types.
