lillaguma, I used Avent Natural last time and plan to use them again (assuming baby takes them). Our daycare does not allow glass bottles (unless the glass is completely encased in the event of breakage and I am not sure what bottle would meet that requirement). I appreciated that the collars and nipples were interchangeable on the Avent Naturals between our glass (home) and plastic (daycare) bottles.
Had my A/S yesterday - still a boy and he looks great so we are thrilled. I am starting to feel uncomfortable at certain points in the day and basically all night. Lots of pressure in my whole pelvic region, hip and back pain. I’m getting heartburn now too. I really need to step up my exercise game; it has basically been nonexistent since I started the second tri, which is terrible.
No questions this week.
We are planning to clean house and do some pre-Christmas purging. And eat, of course.

1. How far along are you this week? 18+1
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I have started wearing compression socks because my feet and ankles are slightly swollen by the end of the day. This didn't happen until much later with DS1!
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. What are your Thanksgiving/weekend plans? Going to eat at my parents' house (5 mins down the road) and then decorating for Christmas!

1. How far along are you this week? 12 weeks today 2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I finally have my first scan tomorrow!!! I am excited and nervous, it feels like it has been forever since I found out I was pregnant. 3. Questions for the group? Not this week 4. What are your Thanksgiving/weekend plans? My husband and I will just cook a smallish Thanksgiving dinner for the two of us. I am going to spatchcock the turkey so I am hoping that goes well Friday we are driving about an hour away to have Christmas afternoon tea in a castle!
Oh - I realized I do have a question for the group. Best glass bottles? We definitely want to get glass this time, would love recommendations.
Ditto Susie, if you're planning on using a daycare for this baby make sure you see what their policy on glass bottles is. I've had kids I worked with that I liked the Avent and Dr. Brown's glass bottles for, and the parents all loved them!

1. How far along are you this week? 18 today
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I had an OB appointment today and she expressed how thrilled she was to see my bump. A coworker did too! I guess I’m a)showing, and b) thrilled that people are cheering us on!
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. What are your Thanksgiving/weekend plans? Off on Wednesday, so we’re doing Thanksgiving then, just because. I still throw up at the scent of poultry, so no turkey for DH this year (I’m vegetarian). My MIL arrives on Saturday to stay with me while my DH travels. She’s a great house guest, but I’ll still miss alone time with DH, because it won’t be until January that we’re alone again.
Susie , I love my gapfit tights. I was able to get them on sale recently for just under $15 a pair. They’re soft and they seem to hold up well to washing.

1. How far along are you this week? 31w6d today
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Acid reflux is currently my least favorite part of pregnancy. But putting on socks is up there.
4. What are your Thanksgiving/weekend plans? We're celebrating at my mom's on Friday, so I'll spend most of day over there that day. Thursday, my sister's family and my brother are getting back from a trip to Mexico City in the afternoon, so I invited everyone over to my house for a casual dinner. I only see my brother a couple times a year. Sunday I'm hosting brunch at my house.
This is the first holiday season since DH and I have moved back to my hometown, so we don't have to travel and be houseguests. So much easier, but definitely still busy.
1. How far along are you this week? 26 + 5 with twins
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I’m so uncomfortable. I never felt this way until like 35+ weeks before. I’m also feeling huge - I’m probably the size now as I was at 34+ weeks in previous pregnancies. I’m trying to stay positive and know the discomfort right now is worth it.
3. Questions for the group? For twin mammas, at what point did you start feeling really uncomfortable? Any tips for coping? My posture is terrible right now and it feels like I can’t get in a decent deep breath with how high up they are.
4. What are your Thanksgiving/weekend plans? We live overseas and will be having a small gathering with other expats. The kids still have school, but when they get out we will have a small turkey with lost of traditional sides and desserts. It’s a local holiday as well, called Loy Krathong which is like a light festival, so when the sun sets after we eat we will go to a nearby park and put our krathongs in the water to hopefully have good luck over the following year!
2. My pelvis is killing me. I haven’t exercised in weeks bc of SPD, but I was feeling good today and it was gorgeous, so I went on a walk in the woods with a friend. Ended up doing four miles. Completely overdid it! Almost worth it, though.
3. Anything out of the box to ask for for a second girl? We have all the gear and clothes we could possibly need. MIL wants to know what to get us. So far, my only idea is a 529 contribution, but I’m not sure she’ll be excited for that.
4. Brunch at our cousins, then dinner st my in-laws. I may beg off of dinner. It’s always hella stressful.
Is she the type that would want to get something really practical and useful? Things I'm currently eyeing as "fun" purchases for second baby are Maileg toys, or an Artifact Uprising baby book. Actually one of the only things I've actually gotten for this baby so far is a Peter Rabbit Wedgwood China place setting - what about something like that? Something more heirloom-ish?
toutsuite I’m a week or two behind you (25w2d) and man, this is a lot tougher than I expected. At least when you get to this point with a singleton, you are pretty near the finish line. Knowing that you have (hopefully) another 12ish weeks is agonizing. I don’t have it figured out, but I have invested in a nice pregnancy pillow, nasal strips for sleeping, nightly epsom salt baths, weekly chiropractor appts, and regular massages. I also wear support belts or Blanqi support tank tops. So basically a lot of self care. And a very helpful husband doesn’t hurt!! Hope it doesn’t get too much worse for us in the coming months!
ivy, any support belt recs? I'm 22w1d with twins and am to the point of needing one. My doc had no recs.
I have a sphinx md support belt from my last pregnancy. It gives a lot of support but it can’t be worn under clothes, so I wear it around the house when I’m on my feet. I recently got the prenatal cradle which I can wear under (most) clothes. Not as supportive as the sphinx, but good for day to day at my desk job.
toutsuite, I was uncomfortable around 24 weeks and started working from home at 32 weeks. I was enormous and couldn’t put on any pants besides yoga pants. Even the security people at work didn’t really want me at the office after that in case I went into labor 🤣
I did go to the chiro every week and that seemed to help. Keep your feet up as much as possible. And count down the days.
grover, I've been using KT tape for belly support with a lot of success and very little pain. I've had to stop as my skin has reacted to the adhesive (I've ordered a different kind said to be gentler on skin, tbd), but I love using it. It's undetectable under clothes, provides round the clock support, stays on in the shower. You can even tape it in different ways to provide support where you need it. My chiropractor got me started using it.

Ooh I love Artifact Uprising. Thanks for the idea!
She just wants to buy...stuff. We may ask for another Tripp Trapp, since L shows no sign of giving hers up.
