The Ring scared me silly too Tef. I watched it with my sister at the theater and driving home we got lost on a very very empty foggy road in the middle of nowhere and we were both freaking the heck out.
The Others terrified me. The Ring still gives me chills. I saw it with my best friend Katie (the two girls in the beginning were Becky and Katie) and we were abroad in Spain so in a strange place and just............freaked the eff out. I walked home that night shaking the whole way. What Lies Beneath really scared me. But I'm a wimp.
Oh lord ...Life-long issues with gurgly drains and clowns.
RIGHT?!
Me, I like House of 1000 Corpses, Devil's Rejects, anything that ends with "of the Dead" and I cannot wait for Lords of Salem. I totally and completely have a thing for Rob Zombie and George Romero.

ohh, session 9 was good but i had to have the closed caption on at the end to make out WTF happened
how is a girl crawling out of a tv to fucking kill you not scary?!?!?!
I wasn't too terribly scared DURING The Ring. But I got creeped right the fuck out after it and that part stuck with me. I'm not sure if the movie itself would be as scary in my memory if I'd been snug on the living room couch after watching itstead of driving aimlessly around poorly signed foggy roads in bumfuck nowhere with a nearly empty tank of gas.
I know I say this every year when we have this thread, but I'm saying it again: The Changeling. Not Changeling, the Angelina Jolie movie from a few years ago, but The Changeling from the 70s, with George C. Scott. Big scary house, unsettled ghost, seances, murder mystery...it's perfect!
Remember the scene where she's in the shower and the hand comes through her hair? DH snuck into the bathroom while I was showering and did that to me. Freaked me the fuck out.

I would have a heart attack. I'm jumpy in the shower to begin with (and again, I blame IT. I first saw it when I was 9ish) and I'd probably actually faint if somebody did that.

The Ring seriously messed me up for life.
I love Silent Hill (and am super excited about the sequel coming out in October )
Candyman
The Mothman Prophecy scares me a lot for some reason. I guess it's more haunting than scary.
OH and Thirteen Ghosts! Everytime I use the bathroom in the middle of the night, I start to freak out that this chick is sitting next to me in the bathtub:
