Thank you for your encouragement <3 I just emailed my doctor. Her nurse is really good about responding quickly so I assume I'll hear something by end of business today.
I’m sorry you are struggling. My lexapro also isn’t cutting it. At my first apt yesterday she suggested increasing the dose a bit. We are going to try that for now. I know it will level off once I hit 20 weeks or so.

1. How far along are you this week? 19 weeks, twins
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? AFP test results came back today and we're low risk for neural tube issues, so that's one more sigh of relief. We'll have our comprehensive ultrasound on Thursday, but we had an early Level II/III and everything looked good, so I'm optimistic.
3. Questions for the group? not this week
4. Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Anything you're still looking for? No shopping here. DH doesn't want to buy anything for babies until we hit viability, and I already had to stock up on some maternity basics. It's frustrating knowing we'll pay a lot more for things that are on sale now, but I also remember having to return car seats and don't want to live through that again, so I get it.
After confirming 3 times I didn’t want to hurt myself or the boys, the Nurse is trying to fit me in tomorrow or Thursday. I called 3 of her therapists (the other 3 are too far) and DH is going to look at our insurance to see if anyone specializes in prenatal issues.
That's wonderful that they're taking your feelings seriously and working you in soon.
My OBGYN is seriously amazing and has a good support staff too. The only other medical professional I’ve liked this much is the midwife that delivered my eldest 2.
osulori, my DDs pregnancy I had all day nausea my entire pregnancy. This time I'm pregnant with twin boys, and was only nauseous on and off from 3 weeks to about 9 weeks. Also, while I am a little sad about the clothing not working (seasons are perfect, but many of the items are super girly), I'm happy that I have two friends, one expecting a girl at the same time as me, but had a boy at the same time as my son, so we just swapped our 0-12 month stuff. Then I found a mom of b/g twins, who is giving me the stuff her son grows out of in exchange for bigger girls sizes that my daughter just sized out of. We're going to keep switching I think moving forward too.

osulori, I had nausea from weeks 5-12 with DS1 and weeks 5-18 with this one (also a boy) so in my experience, having morning sickness does not mean having a girl!
The only appointment I can get is tomorrow at 9am or Friday at 10am ... both time the kids don’t have school and DH is out of town. I’m going to go tomorrow and just give them the headphones for their kindles tomorrow instead of at Christmas.

I'm so glad you got an appointment and I think the headphones sound like a great solution. Big virtual hug. You're doing the right thing.
I was horrified after our loss with how long the wait time was to see a therapist. It wasn't until I left messages sobbing that I got a call back with a next day appointment. I was really hoping that was an anomaly but I guess not.

Even after I had self harm thoughts (PPD after DS2) no one would see me and just said go to the ER. My midwife had to call another midwife (almost a hours away) that was also a nurse practioner and therapist who saw me that day.

Our mental health system is a disgrace.
It really is. I'm so glad you were able to get an appointment soon!

brooklyn, as someone who got bad news at my NT scan, I chose not to take my daughter to a scan until third trimester. Are you past your anatomy scan yet?

I’ve had 4 ultrasounds so far, including NT scan and anatomy scan, so I’m fairly sure we’re in the clear. This is the 30 week growth scan, so should be fun. The ultrasound is at the hospital, which happens to be a Pokémon spot, so if all else fails, my kid will enjoy playing on my phone.
I definitely wouldn’t bring him to a first trimester scan, for the same reasons you mentioned.

Oh good! I wasn’t able to find your original post easily to see how far along. Glad you can take him!
Update: my Dr was incredible (as expected) & has doubled my lexapro to 20mg. She didn’t want to try the Doppler & have it not work (I’m 11.5 weeks) making me more anxious and tried to get me in for a sonogram but it’s totally book until Monday Still working on finding a therapist.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? went to the doctor yesterday for a check on my blood sugar numbers, finally getting it under control with the help of Metformin. Feeling the baby move much more consistently now. Loving that, not loving when he isn't moving. I freak out a bit when I don't feel him.
3. Questions for the group? Not right now
4. Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Anything you're still looking for? I got new underwear for myself on Black Friday (also my birthday!). Also got some ornaments for us- personalized. One for our new house, and one for us expecting. On cyber Monday I bought an echo dot because it came with a smart plug, and we needed a smart plug. No use for the echo dot, and we already bought some as gifts. I'm thinking I might put it in the baby's room?
Good news, found (eventually) a nice strong heartbeat and peeing in a cup whole managing a toddler was astoundingly easy. But, a couple of not so great things. One, my blood pressure was 130/70. So, not bad, but higher than my norm. Given that I'm only 13 weeks with a history of pre-e, I don't like this. At all. I guess I'll start taking at home and see if it's consistent. Secondly, I've been having intermittent shortness of breath pretty much since I got pregnant. It's mostly just annoying but regular enough and after 10 weeks I felt it was worth mentioning. My doctor admits it's super conservative but wants me to get an EKG or whatever. So, that's awesome.
We had maternity pictures done today and I’m already impatient to get them! lol.
She said she’s going to send us a sneak peek of a few of them in the next few days so that we have something to use in time for Christmas cards, but that we probably won’t get the full set of pictures until after she’s also done our newborn shoot.
hamster sorry your appointment wasn’t all good news. Have they scheduled your EKG?
No, I assume the heart institute will call tomorrow. I'll probably make it for a couple/few weeks out though. I haven't really had any issues for a few days and I'm hoping it will solve itself as I am at the end of first tri.
hamster, boo about the appointment. I hope your BP goes down and you have no more issues! katespade, that's a long time to wait for pictures! You are due in January right? namasteak, congratulations!! Do you do the panorama test?
zarapipe - Yeah, I'm due 1/10. I'm hoping she was just being conservative in her time estimate, and she'll end up being able to get pictures to us before then. I know the holidays can be a really busy time, though, so I understand why it might take a little bit longer than normal. She actually already sent me a couple of sneak peek pictures last night, so at least I have those to get me through until the rest of them are ready. Haha.
I had my NT scan and OB app't today at 13+2, all is good. I think baby is measuring a little behind, because the OB kept saying well we won't move the due date, it's just an estimate, etc. But it couldn't have been too far behind, because he didn't say specifically. At my last u/s I was 2 days behind. I'm just glad to see fingers, toes, and a healthy HR.
My OB offered that in January when I go for my a/s, I can either do it in house as a level 1 u/s, or they can send me to a high risk practice to have a level 2 u/s done because I am AMA. Has anyone done that? I am inclined to just keep my appointment and do the regular one in house, because there have not been any red flags so far, and being 37 doesn't seem ALL that relevant after good NIPT and NT results. Curious what others have decided though?
hamster, my BP was up around 130/80 at my 9w app't, fortunately this time it was down more like 120/70. Even that is high for me (when I donate blood it's usually like 105/60) but I think last time was mostly a combination of nerves and them using an automatic sphygmomanometer. I always read higher on an automatic one than a manual one. Any chance something like that is giving you the worrisome early readings?

I am doing my NT scan and the 18 week scan at a specialized u/s place per drs request.. I have not gotten my NIPT results yet (blood draw earlier this week) and am AMA (37 years). My practice sent me there for DS2 as well (I was 35) for the 18 week. I have a history of loss so dr takes extra precautions and orders more tests than normal.
Susie nothing that I can think of. She uses a manual at the appointments.
I went back and looked at my visit summaries. On the 12th it was 118/70, but on 10/26 at 8w it was more like 124/80. At the end of March is was 118/68. At 11w with C it was 104/62.
So. I dunno. It might that my pregnancy with C caused it to permanently be a bit higher, and I'm getting older. I still dont like it, but I'm a little less worried as I look at my recent history as opposed to what I think it should be based on 2 years ago.
Oh, and to answer your question my OB left it up to me but we agreed to have me do the higher level ultrasound at the anatomy scan (I opted to skip the NT scan fwiw).
