Mine are always generic "Peace and Love". I'm Jewish, DH is Christian and our list is a mix of a bunch of religions or none at all. I am not particularly religious, so a more secular message appeals to me.
That said, I don't bat an eye when I receive a Merry Christmas card.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
We go with a more inclusive “Happy Holidays” or something like that. I’m Jewish, DH is not (he’s really not anything, if you ask him). Our list is pretty evenly split, so I try to get something that will cover all the bases. When I really have my act together I’ll get Hanukkah cards made when Shutterfly has their free 10 card promotions as I think my older Jewish relatives think those are pretty cool.
I appreciate that we’re even having this conversation. I always roll my eyes just a bit when I open the glittery cards from DH’s aunts that are all about “Jesus being the reason” and sentiments like that. Thanks for thinking of my interfaith family here, ladies.
