2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Second tri, wooooot! I'm ready for my energy to come back now, thanks.
3. Questions for the group? For 2nd time moms, when did you feel the baby move? I swear I've felt her a few times in the last week but it seems really early. With DS, I didn't feel him until like 21 weeks.
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I'm struggling to make a list for DH. Right now, its like 6 books, socks, and underwear. Super exciting!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I started going through my son’s baby clothes and can’t find any of his newborn or 0-3 month sizes. Then I finally remembered that I have them to a family of one of my students. I’m a little bummed because I wasn’t expecting to have to buy many clothes but I know that the family needed it more than I did at the time.
3. Questions for the group? What’s a good amount of sleepers and outfits to have for nb-3 months? It will be January so I’m not planning on leaving the house much.
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? New robe, some post partum leggings/tops, Sephora giftcard to get some new makeup and skincare, and target gift cards for whatever else comes up.
1. How far along are you this week? 14 weeks tomorrow
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Had our first trimester screening and it came back as very low risk for chromosomal issues. We then did our bloodwork for our harmony test right after, so that should hopefully be back next week and we will then know gender. My MIL got both H and I sick. I feel so awful and hate that there really isn’t much I can do about it.
3. Questions for the group? Nothing this week
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I asked for a specific pair of earrings and a nespresso milk frother. That’s about it!
For 2nd time moms, when did you feel the baby move? I swear I've felt her a few times in the last week but it seems really early. With DS, I didn't feel him until like 21 weeks.
2. Both Calvin & Hobbes have nasty colds. I have a quarterly strategy meeting at a client next week, and am terrified I'm going to catch it and be an unmedicated (because pregnant) hot mess at my client. I'm also dreading how much that trip always tires me out (late flights, etc.) My hands are raw from the washing, and I'm constantly paranoid because I've had pregnancy headaches every day for weeks, but it's easy to always be like... am I coming down with it too now? Sigh.
3. Can't think of any questions.
scm1011, I've had a couple moments when I thought the same thing. I think I felt Hobbes sometime around 17-18w, but I had an anterior placenta last time so it's not crazy to think I'd feel this baby earlier, both because the placenta might be elsewhere this time and because I have a better idea of what it feels like. Also, I am super ready for the fatigue to lift. My work still needs as much as ever, so does Hobbes, so does life/the house, and with holiday prep on top of it, the thing that suffers is "me time," all of which I spend asleep. It's not sustainable.
4. Another Hydroflask bottle, Yaktrax and LLBean rubber mocs for the walking commute between daycare and my office (I am worried about slipping on ice while pregnant, the sidewalks are not maintained 100%), Michelle Obama's book, Bob Woodward's Trump book, Smartwool socks. I think Calvin's getting me noise cancelling headphones which will help me actually relax when someone else (Calvin) is "on" with the baby when he comes.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? The glider and travel system arrived last week. Thankfully we have been offered lots other large baby gear from both of our siblings. My brother and his wife are letting us borrow their crib, a dresser, and bassinet until they have their next child. Apparently they plan to start trying next summer so the timing should work okay on us borrowing those things for a while. My BIL and his girlfriend have offered their bassinet, an extra pack and play, and lots of clothes. I feel very fortunate that we don't have to spend a lot extra money right now!
3. Questions for the group? I can't think of anything.
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I would love a spa day certificate that I can book in a few months. We also just moved into our first house so I'd gift cards so we can spruce up this place a bit too.

I feel this so hard. All my me time is spent sleeping as well, and it sucks. And I hope you avoid the cold. I got a monster cold last week (that is still lingering) and I missed 1.5 days of work because all I could do was sleep and blow my nose. Usually I take the behind-the-counter cold medicine that people use to make meth (lol) and forge on through, but I obviously couldn't this time. Neither DH or DS caught it, so hopefully you'll be spared Susie.
1. How far along are you this week? 26w3d STM with twins
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I am slowing down big time and am so thankful we did so much prep while I was still physically able. We went to a breastfeeding for multiples class last week so I'm feeling better prepared there. We're taking DD to a sibling prep class this weekend, and I think she's going to love it. She loves talking about the babies and how we're going to rock them and what we'll sing to them. I think she's going to love being a big sister.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? Honestly just amazon gift cards for baby stuff. I don't have any other wants or needs, and I think I'm pretty set for the post-partum period from last time.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Where has the time gone? It's been dragging and dragging and dragging, and now all of a sudden it feels like I blinked and it's December and I'm having a baby next month!
My boss wants me to go to a three day conference next week. It's a 1.5 hour drive each way (in good traffic), 8 hours of classroom style work each day, and I don't have the option of staying in a hotel to reduce the daily drive time. I don't want to go, but I feel like I need to because my boss is flying in to attend. Ugh.
3. Questions for the group? What classes should we have on our list to take before baby is born, other than the standard childbirth classes? Infant CPR?
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I bought an Apple Watch when they were on sale for Black Friday, which is going under the tree as part of my Christmas gift. I'm still trying to figure out what else to put on my list for H.
For 2nd time moms, when did you feel the baby move? I swear I've felt her a few times in the last week but it seems really early. With DS, I didn't feel him until like 21 weeks.
Really early - around 12 weeks.
I’m jealous some of you felt second baby so early!
scm1011- for me I think I didn’t feel first baby reliably until 20 -21 weeks and this baby probably 17-18 weeks.
3. Questions for the group? What classes should we have on our list to take before baby is born, other than the standard childbirth classes? Infant CPR?
I definitely want to do that this time around. It was on my list last time and never happened. DH is always up to date because he is a teacher and is certified every other year, but I can't just rely on him being around in case anything happens.

I did some Googling last night and saw that American Red Cross offers an online version of the class now. We were planning to go to the in person class at our hospital this week, but H had a last minute work conflict come up and it's the last class offered before my due date so we were thinking we might give the online version a try. I'm usually up to date on my certification, but I don't think H has ever taken a CPR class before.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
3. Questions for the group? For those who run, have you noticed feeling way worse on the treadmill than outdoors? It was icy this weekend so I did maybe 15-20 minutes on the treadmill (slower than I normally am outside and with my Gabriella band). I felt so fatigued, my legs felt awful, my belly felt more heavy and uncomfortable, and I started having some BH contractions so I called it quits. I have lately felt good running outside even as I keep slowing down. Do you think I just need to get used to the treadmill again? Or, maybe this is the beginning of the end unless roads are clear and safe. Either way it’s not a huge deal, but I want to keep the mental boost from my runs if I can. I feel like the physical benefits are negligible at this point.
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I want some nice wireless headphones, probably aftershokz. And all the holiday sweets and a nap!
Also, I am super ready for the fatigue to lift. My work still needs as much as ever, so does Hobbes, so does life/the house, and with holiday prep on top of it, the thing that suffers is "me time," all of which I spend asleep. It's not sustainable.

I'm definitely here too on the me time. I've outsourced all home related stuff that I can (ordering groceries online, hired cleaners, H does the bulk of the laundry and cooking now), and I've been working from home more. Partly because it's become so physically taxing to get into the office everyday and partly to just enjoy being alone in my house, even if it's with my laptop. I'm also just getting over a monster cold. The neti pot was my life saver, and my H and DD were spared, so fingers crossed for you Susie.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Not much this week. Feel pretty good all things considering. I still don't have morning sickness which is freaking me out but I'm exhausted so I take that as a good sign. I've been having more WTF were we thinking moments when both girls are not behaving.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I can never think of anything and DH and I aren't exchanging gifts, so that works out well.
suzv I would get probably 7 sleep and plays, a pack of long sleeve onsies and four pairs of pants in size 0-3. I would not get much NB unless you are pretty sure the baby will be small. My almost 9lb baby never wore NB.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I've had some shortness of breath on Friday AM and a bit this morning, but that's it for the last week so still crossing my fingers I'm on the downhill slide. With my BP being higher than I'd like I'm trying really hard to eat well, and I'm begrudgingly choking down some extra food in hopes that it will help.
3. Questions for the group? Not today I dont think
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? A coral colored Yeti coffee mug is probably highest on my list but there isn't much I want this year.
scm1011 I swear I've felt movement a couple of times when I'm laying down at night with my hand on my belly, which is insane. He was pretty squirrelly during the doppler check though. I think I felt C move/kick around 19/20 weeks?
2. I had some excitement last week. At my 38w appointment, I had to see the nurse practitioner because my dr. was stuck at the hospital for something. I was only 1 cm dilated, not having contractions (that I could feel - I didn't feel any at all my last pregnancy), but she still sent me to the hospital because according to her, the baby was so low, I could sneeze and the baby could come flying out. I was there for about 2-3 hours before the attending came by and told me I could go home. Such a waste of time!
3. For 2nd time moms, tell me about what your contractions felt like/how you knew it was time to go to the hospital? With DD, I had a regular check up appt at 39+4 and the doctor told me I was 6 cm dilated and needed to go in. I don't remember really feeling anything to that point, and then when I got to the hospital I got an epidural pretty quickly and ended up needing pitocin to move things along. This time, the baby has been super low for the past month+, and I'm so nervous its going to move fast and I'm not going to realize I'm in labor.
4. We're putting our house back together after renovating so I have a ginormous list of new kitchen things I want, gift cards for window treatments for everywhere, new towels and sheets. Not too much stuff for myself personally but I did ask my mom for some comfy leggings for mat leave.

In hindsight, I think I've been feeling DD since about 14 weeks, but consistently and definitively since about 18 weeks. I have an anterior placenta, so I wasn't sure.
I have a question, especially for 2nd time moms or moms with kids really close in age. Is anyone having a ton of pressure on their pubic bone? That's the best way I can describe it. It's been going on for a few weeks and mainly hits when I stand up from sitting or lying down.

This is how I feel in general. I hate the treadmill, and I always feel fatigued quicker. I think its because outside my body sets the pace, for better or for worse, instead of conforming to what pace I think I "should" be running on a treadmill. So it could be that, or just an off run. If not, kudos for making it so far into your pregnancy if this is the beginning of the end!

I'm jealous that you've gotten this far still running! I had to give it up around 28 weeks due to tightening and heaviness in my belly, plus bladder pressure. Walking just doesn't give me the same feeling, even though, like you said, the physical benefits are probably similar, considering how slowly I was running.
Hopefully it was just a combination of the treadmill, which is always worse than outside, plus maybe a particularly bad run, and you'll be able to keep it up a bit longer!

1. How far along are you this week? 33w4d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I woke up today feeling pretty stressed. Holidays and work and baby prep - there's a lot to do in the next month!
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? Phone carrier for running, a light zippered hoodie, the book Wine all the Time (remember wine?! I think I used to like it...), makeup brushes, fancy sprinkles
Because I'm going to have tons of time to exercise, play with makeup, bake, and drink wine this year, right?!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? DS told me my belly is getting bigger so I guess I am showing lol. Thanks bud.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I want running gloves and socks. Also an instant pot and/or air fryer. But since DH and I don't exchange, I will probably just get tools from my dad and a gift card from my mom.
I don’t like the treadmill and am always slower, but usually I can feel ok if I’m humble enough to slow down. This time I couldn’t find a comfortable groove at all until I slowed to a walk. Have either of you done walking on the TM at a large incline? Maybe that’s the right call to get my HR up a bit more?
You’re so right that the bladder pressure makes running extra hard at this point cactuscookie. My limit seems to be around 1/2 hour before I must stop and pee. Sometimes even that is ambitious. I do not know how some women run long races — half or marathon — past first tri. It sounds like hell to me at this point.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I woke up today feeling pretty stressed. Holidays and work and baby prep - there's a lot to do in the next month!
Something about it being December has suddenly lit a fire under me. I went from thinking we have plenty of time to, "HOLY CRAP WE'RE HAVING A BABY NEXT MONTH, WE HAVE SO MUCH LEFT TO DO." lol.
melmaria — my gut says you do NOT need a $900 stroller no matter what the reviews say. 😊 I splurged on a Bob with my DS a few years ago and I got a good holiday sale. I like it for running but also gravel paths and events like fairs or trips. The car seat adapter is available for many brands and was super easy to use. Unless you feel a Bob is too big for your needs I would recommend it.

Omg, right?? I have not done much prep, and I suddenly realized we have no tree yet, and I don’t even know what room baby will go in. Oy. All they really need is clothes, diapers, food, a place to sleep, and some love, right? It will be ok, but a busy month is ahead.
1. How far along are you this week? 13w2d (I keep getting this confused). It's exciting how many of us are due within like a week or two of one another!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? None. DH and I are doing a little weekend away at a nearby resort this weekend and I can't wait. We need it badly.
3. Questions for the group? My pants are getting pretty tight already in the waist. Is this normal? I just bought a few of those bella band things that will hopefully let me keep wearing my regular pants for another month or so, wasn't quite ready to get into maternity/limited wardrobe quite yet.
4. What's on your holiday wish list this year? I'm just asking for gift cards to get maternity clothes!
