I've been following this in the FB defective group and it's nuts! Apparently there was an ex parte hearing this morning where the supplier asked the Court to freeze the assets of LLR (and its many shell companies). The judge continued the hearing until Friday to allow him time to review the 500+ pages of records that have been filed.
Mommygyver just posted on Facebook telling all current consultants to run and get their money because now there are reports of their card accounts being frozen.
No wonder the 2 sisters I knew who sold LLR together had a GOOB sale recently. I bet they knew it was going downhill and jumped ship. I hope the owners go down.

Well now it looks like they've removed the transfer button so people can't get their money off their card accounts but they'd have to use an ATM and then they're stuck with withdrawal limits.
And this is why MLMs suck. All those consultants who made bank, but got in and out are fine, but they left their teammates literally holding a bag of shit. There will be thousands of consultants who never recover from this and their lives will be forever changed.

This is what upsets me, too. I have a friend who posted a video for a big sale on black Friday, and her room was filled with clothes.
I've spent all morning catching up. Patrick spilled some serious tea about the company in his affidavit!
but it seems like so many retailers are digging in their heels and choosing to "just trust" and they are going to be so fucked. I want to message friends and ask them what their exit plan is...but it is not my business.

I'm taking off the month of December from Facebook but I'm in the defectives group and people have been talking about this for weeks. I guess the language in their contracts means the money on their cards doesn't officially belong to them or isn't guaranteed in some way and some consultants claim LLR straight up stole their money off the cards. This company is such a shady shitshow and I feel so bad for the thousands of poor women hoping for refunds and sitting on thousands in inventory.

It's disgusting. I really hope this opens the eyes of regulators to make changes regarding direct sales companies. It's great that people made money doing this, but they did it at the expense of other people. So shitty.
Oh shiiiiiiiiiiit. I am happily surprised he's going on record with this shit! Good for him. They must have really dicked him over when they let him go.
My neighbor sells and I think she is very vulnerable to higher ups. She has low self esteem and I think she feels like if she walks away she'll lose the "friends" she's made in the business. I am not close enough to her to say anything but I'm worried.

That is so sad, and I'd venture to guess this is probably not uncommon within these organizations.
I have a good friend who is still selling her LLR stuff as usual. She just posted her wall drops 18 hours ago. I hope she doesn't get screwed over. She has been doing this for about 2.5 years so I bet she has actually made a good profit.
She is a very sweet friend and was looking to bank some cash for her sons college fund. I was very surprised she had tried an MLM because she is quite bright and I was shocked she dropped 5k to start up this business. She never hits up her friends for sales either.
She has a separate FB page with over 1200 followers (only 6 I know) and she has regular buyers. She is one of my closest friends and has never asked me to buy from her. I will feel bad if she truly loses a lot of money. I did find a link to the news story and just shot her a message to make sure she knew what was happening.
For those of you in the know - jenny1980, farmvillelover - if you have all these reps out there who have bought a bunch of inventory and still have it on hand, could they sell it for cash at this point? Or are they required to run it through the LLR system that then may take the person's money for the sale but never give it to the consultant?
At this point anyone that is still selling is a Mark and Deanne groupie and will defend them until their last breath or are so deep in debt that they have to keep selling just to make their money back.
As a former retailer, I am fascinated by what is going down this week.

Patrick giving all the juicy details has literally made my day. M&D do not give two flips about any of those retailers and it makes me sick how many of them pledge their blind allegiance to them.

yes they can *try* to sell it but many of them have horrible prints and no one wants to buy that shit. Some thrift stores won't even take them as donations! They can run it through the LLR system until it's public that they are going out of business. At that point they are out of compliance and can't use the website so most switch to selling via square or paypal. People's uplines are tattling on them if they see them selling the clothes at a discount.
lot of people left with racks of clothes they can't sell because nobody wants it and the market was long ago flooded.
LLR is even REPACKAGING and RESELLING clothing to current retailers that was sent back from sellers that went out of business.
Yikes. I totally want to post this for the couple of MLMers who always post about not giving money to companies so CEOs get rich. Guess what, MLMs have CEOs too.
While my hatred of MLM wants me to enjoy watching this crash and burn, I can’t help but worry about those who are still consultants. Most people who join MLMs seem to do it out of some form of desperation. Many are desperate to “earn their keep” and feel like they’re contributing to the family budget while staying at home with kids, some are saving to get out of bad situations, many are desperate for affirmation, friends, status, or something similar. Those women are going to be left with thousands of dollars of inventory that they bought with hope for a better future for themselves and their families. The ones who are continuing to maintain a VERY strong hold on their LLR business have bought into the cult and will go down with the ship, taking their family finances and likely mental and emotional health with it.
I have a friend who sells and she is going to be really hurt by this, and not just financially. Yes, it was stupid to get involved in the first place, but when you know more of individuals’ stories, it’s impossible to not care.

Wasn’t Patrick’s face on leggings? So they had a falling out?
I saw the other day that one of the sister wives daughters had her launch party. So people are still signing up
