If you were giving a box set of these spices to someone, would you give something with it? If so, what?
I am considering getting one for my parents, but I want to give them something a bit more than just a box of spices (which is a lovely gift on its own, but I had planned to spend 2-3x what one costs on their gift).
It doesn’t make the gift any larger/more impressive looking, but you could also purchase a $50 gift card for $35 and include that. Because once you try Penzey’s, you’re almost guaranteed to want more of it.
You could also get a new pot/Pan, cooking utensils, grill tools, or something similar.
I love Fox Point - just had it on some scrambled eggs this morning. Yum. Also great on chicken. It's addictive.
I'd love to know how people use Mural of Flavor? I have a big jar but have barely touched it.
Just start putting it in stuff. It's good on basically everything.
Well I put it on steak once and that was the wrong call! But I should have known better, I like salt and pepper on beef. I have added it to soups and it's a good addition!

I think Mural of Flavor is our most used blend. I use it on roasted or sauteed vegetables, fish, and if I ate chicken, I would probably use it on that.
I have a roasted potato and carrot blend I'm going to try it on tonight!
Arizona Dreaming is my favorite recently. I've been putting it in scrambled eggs and it's great. I know you said you don't want something like cinnamon, but they have a cinnamon gift box with a few different varieties. I got one for DH and one for MIL last year and they both loved them. Their vanilla is amazing too. Really there's not a bad choice in the whole place.
I bought two gift cards to use for future purposes, then the Soul Box for $17.76, then I got a hope box and a cinnamon free. Is there a support group for people who can’t stop buying Penzey’s stuff?

There should be. Open my spice cabinet and it’s nothing but Penzeys jars as far as the eye can see lol I don’t think I cook a meal without some sort of Penzeys anymore. I have a pork roast with Galena Street rub in the crock pot right now.
If you like to grill or BBQ, we got a variety box with different rubs in it last year (BBQ 3000 is my fave) and that’s what started my addiction.
lilac05, I only started buying Penzey's about a year ago, but I am slowly replacing everything in my cabinet with their products and trying new-to-me blends all the time. They have such great stuff!
