k3am that is beautiful. With a nice necklace? I am still jealous of all 5he dress up parties. Even if we went out New Years, a dressy blouse is about standard.

Yeah DS is not behind anymore - he's actually ahead. But he spent all of last year drastically behind and now I'm afraid to let off the tutoring for fear that we'll go backwards. So there' might be some of that going on too.
I have a couple necklaces that may work. What I don’t have is shoes to go with it.. I may run out to Payless and try to find something. I may suck it up and wear a pair of 3 inch heels that are uncomfortable. Mostly I’ve been doing flats lately.
twinmomma now I’m curious about the tattoos... a car and a.. spider in a diamond? I’m probably way off on both! 😬😜
Bahaha a shamrock and a Celtic motherhood knot! I got the shamrock when I retired from Irish dance. Then added the knot for my girls on the other foot.

I was so close! If a puppy is close to being a dragon, anyways...

I don't want to put this in it's own thread but I am looking for opinions:
Is this a weird fundraiser or is it just me?
At DS' school they are raising funds for scholarships for kids in another country. Cool. Kids are supposed to bring in change. Pennies = points; Silver coins = Negative points; Dollar bills = Negative lots and lots of points.
You bring in pennies to put your in your class' jug. You bring in silver coins or dollars to put in another class' jug to take their points away.
Am I just too sensitive or is that fostering meanness between classes over something that should be nice?
We do that and it totally works! The kids have a great time!
The only time I have been resentful is with a similar concept that I can’t remember the deal, it was shelf stable foods and cans were positive and boxes were negative or something and a parent that worked at some box box store literally brought pallets of stuff. Nice to donate and collect, but their kids’ grades obviously won. It would be like some parent throwing hundreds into the other grades, which I think is less likely.
mustardseed2007, it's called penny wars! we do this at work and DD's preschool did it as well. I think it's fostering competition. I haven't taken it as being mean.
