DS1(6.5) was a poor sleeper until we sleep trained at 1. He still woke occasionally until 3, but is very good now. DS2 (almost 4) was up every 1-2 hrs until 1, 3-4x night until 3, and still wakes up every night at least once to come screaming and running into our room.
We didn't STTN until we sleep trained at 5 months and it was a godsend. She sleeps 12 hours straight and she's 15 months. Fingers crossed it lasts, but I'm sure it will be a whole new ballgame once she moves to a toddler bed whenever that is.
me on the other hand? I've always had trouble STTN, lol.
My kids are 4 and 6. They both starting sleeping through the night at 14 months. Before that they were both lousy. They’ve been on a 8pm to 7am (unless school) schedule pretty much since. I didn’t sleep train or use CIO at all.
3 months old, wakes every 2-3 hours now. Used to sleep 5-6 hour, sometimes 7, stretch until last week. I think we’re hitting the four month regression?
DD is almost 3. She woke once a night for a bottle (genuinely hungry and right back to sleep) from 8 months to 18 months. She's STTN ever since minus the occasional wake from a nightmare or because she kicks her blanket off. We did CIO just for bedtime at around 9 months.

My DD first slept through the night around 2 weeks, she did that once and then never again until she was about 3,5 I think she went through a bad stretch around 13 months- 16 months where she would wake up multiple times. But after that is was usually once a night for boob and when she was potty trained around 26 months she would usually need to go potty once a night as well. But most of the time she would have some boob and go back to sleep fairly quickly. Once she state red sleeping through the night though she rarely woke up except if she wasn’t feeling well or needed to go pee (it took her a while before she felt comfortable enough to get up and pee on her own). Some of my friends kids slept through the night well long before that but as they got older they would get up a lot and crawl into bed with their parents a lot of the nights.
Ha ha ha ha ha NO! She will be 3 in a month and has never slept through. She woke up every 40 mins for about 5 months until we started cosleeping. She was one of those infants that had to be held to sleep. We did full extinction and she didn’t sleep for close to a week until I gave up. It was too awful and there was no improvement. She would cry herself sick. We still cosleep and she now wakes up 1-2 times on a good night, more on a bad night. In the plus side, she’s a super social, easy-going yet active kid! Just the sleep thing sucks.
Yes. 4 year old twins sleep 8-7 or so. Have been for a long time.
10 month old slept all night till 4 mos. Then regressed until 9 mos. Now she sleeps 730-7. I've never sleep trained mine. Maybe I got lucky but they always have been on a pretty strict routine.
7 and 2.5 7 year old has sttn since about 8 months. She sleeps from 8:30-6:30/7. She’s always been an early riser. 2.5 year old didn’t sttn until I weaned him at 14m. He sleeps 8:30-7:30/8. Still takes a two hour nap.
