My parents are going on a disney cruise in April with my step sister and her family. For Christmas I'd like to get them a disney gift card and something else tangible. I was thinking lanyards for their cruise cards, but I dont know if they would actually use them.... Does anyone else have other suggestions?
I would not have even thought to bring a lanyard but someone else mentioned it and it was very handy. You use your 'key to the world card' for lots of things so we just threw each of ours on a lanyard and had them with us anytime we left the room. (for some reason, I'm not able to copy and paste the link from Amazon, but search 'charminer neck pouch' or 'joseco neck bag' for some cute Mickey Ears lanyards with extra storage)
My sister had a friend that made us all door magnets, so that was a fun way to distinguish our room from others.
A Waterbottle as there were free beverages (juice, pop, water) on board so we would fill up waterbottles throughout the day.
ETA: a beach bag (I guess depending on whether their itinerary stops at beaches, although it was nice to have bags to take with us to the pool and stuff) My sister got me one that was mesh and then had a zippered insulated pocket on the bottom to store cold stuff)

We loved our packing cubes on the cruise because storage in the rooms is tight and we could stuff cubes in places that we wouldn't have been able to put loose clothing.

Yup, I have a mesh bag that I take on cruises and vacations for bringing to the pool or beach. It's really helpful to have so you can bring your sunscreen, water bottle, card, phone, etc. down to the pool and not carry a bulky backpack or other bag.
