I went in for an induction Sunday night, and she was born less than twelve hours later. Under five minutes of pushing! Her birth was so damn easy by comparison to my first, where I had preeclampsia, retained placenta, and a 33h labor. Such a relief to have a better experience this time.
We are home and doing relatively well. Big sister is beyond thrilled to have her baby here, as are we.

Thanks everyone! It’s been a smooth first week. She’s eating and pooping like a champ, which is a relief bc she lost 9% of her weight right away. Going in for a weight check, but I think she’s good. We had to get a tongue and lip tie clipped, and I’m so thankful we knew to do it right away thing time. With DD1, it was a difficult and painful 8 weeks before we figured it out (thanks, crappy lactation consultant!)
She’s just starting to stay a touch more alert and have her eyes more open. It’s so fun. I’m smitten 😍
