ETA: That recipe card holder is really useful. I have one from Blue Apron.
I love my snap on colander and elastic shoe laces.
Are they tight enough? Do you think they would be good for kids? I have been thinking of getting them for DD who wears leg braces so she doesn’t have to worry about her laces coming undone.

My DH is a sneaker guy, all of us have our laces cut and tied off to look like this but since DS is a 6 yo boy and harder on his shoes he figured the laces might snap. We've been using them for 2 years now (we get a new set when we buy new shoes) and they are great.

Would it be good for the elderly? My dad is 72 and I worry about him having trouble tying his laces

Yes! You adjust them to the right fit when you put them on, and I was really surprised at how well the elastic held up. I have reallllly wide fit, and the elastic was really comfortable, and the laces were long enough for me. My feet are so wide, I can sometimes barely tie shoelaces.

Yes, unless they are maybe unstable and need a tighter shoe? If the issue is just with tying the laces, then these would be great. He may need some help getting them in initially.

My coworkers (rehab based PT & OT) generally don't like elastic laces with AFOs- I think it mostly stems from how loose the elastic feels and potential to piston in the shoe/cause breakdown. We work with adults however, so her skin/ sensation may be healthier. If she's currently seeing a PT or OT I would run it by them.

This is what I was curious/concerned about. Thanks. I will ask her PT.
