My rage towards my MIL is intense right now. She came to visit this weeekend, with her 5 year old granddaughter, despite the major snowstorm that hit here. She got snowed in and had to stay another night at the hotel. I barely tolerate her on a good day.
Saturday night/early Sunday morning granddaughter threw up in the hotel room. MIL brings her to my house around 11am and waits an entire hour to tell us this. After she and my son played with all the toys in my house. 5 year old barely eats the rest of the day but MIL insists she must have ate something weird the night before and that’s why she got sick. Flash forward to this evening around 11pm, and my 2 year old throws up in his crib.
I’m 39+6 and am now a ball of nerves waiting to either go into labor or get sick. I’m currently scheduled for an elective induction Tuesday morning because my two sisters are going on vacation on 1/26 and they are my back up childcare.
I’m going to call my doctors offices in the morning to see what they suggest, but would you move forward with an elective induction in about 24 hours with a possible stomach bug on the horizon? Obviously I can go into labor any time now and it wouldn’t matter anyway.
OMG, I'm raging at your MIL too. WTF. Although, to be fair, your DS could just have easily contracted it before your niece threw up. But still, no excuse.
I agree with zarapipe, except I'd have your DH clean like crazy while you sit on a pillow. Fingers crossed you're spared!
Thanks everyone. Doctor said we can continue as long as i feel okay. DS only got sick one time and has kept everything down since then. Hopefully it was just a fluke or something.

I would be so livid. It would take me a really long time to get over it. I’d have your H scrub the house. I’d continue with the elective induction . Worst case scenario you do get sick and they can address that at the hospital to make you as comfortable as possible.
