It's the moment you have all been waiting for! :-D

As many of you know by now, every year we have an Oscar party with food themed to the Best Picture nominees.  Ideally they'd be puns on the movie title (e.g., "Corndog Millionaire" for "Slumdog Millionaire"; "Up in the Éclair" for "Up in the Air"), but if we need to we've gone outside that to make it something prominently featured in the film (e.g., milkshakes for There Will Be Blood).  A full slideshow of previous foods, or at least for as long as I've been altering posters to match, is here:

Only 7 best picture nominees this year, so I get a bit of a break, hearkening back to the days when it was only 5.

I'm tempted to just label the full bar "Vice" -- it would make more sense than "Rice" or whatever.

Other low-hanging fruit are maybe A Star is Corn and Roma (tomatoes). Black Flansman? I feel like we get flan in there at least once a year. They're pretty tough this year!

For The Favourite I would be inclined to choose a family favourite recipe like Grandma’s Chocolate Chip acookies or something. Or have attendees vote on a list of options. Therefore selecting The Favourite

Oooh, I have a shaved ice machine. I can do shaved ice with multiple flavor options for Flavor-It. :-)

As in congee?  It actually is pronounced like it rhymes with book.  And I just had some for lunch today, too--yum!

Yes! Congee. My husband makes it a lot when we’re sick.

I say book with more of an “oo” sound and jook more like “juk”. I guess it’s my my mid-Atlantic accent shining through. Maybe not an issue for anyone else lol

You can sub "Jack" for Black in either title and do something with Monterrey Jack or Colby-Jack cheese.

A jar is born - mini desserts in half-pint mason jars.

My favorites so far from the suggested: Bohemian WRAPsody and A Jar is Born (the desserts in mason jars). I also like Green Book-ies (I'd put a hyphen in there), you could make green book shaped cookies.
