akafred, I hope everything is OK? Does anyone have her contact info to check? What about our other admin?
2chatter, I can see my kids doing that too. They literally invent things to fight over- it doesn't even matter what it is. They were fighting over a road name pronunciation last night in the car.
2chatter, I asked in October. Kept following up and got the run around. Emailed for status update after winter break and was told because I didn't fill out this form that you can't find anywhere on the district website nothing had come of me asking or following up the 3 months prior. Filled out the form January 7th so the 30 working days I guess officially started then so they have up to Feb 19th to get things going. I'm almost tempted to tell them to screw it and I will just continue to challenge at home since if it is this hard to just get her tested how hard will it be to actually get the teachers to give her anything extra. The district no longer has a TAG coordinator and all work is based on if the teacher has the time to add it to the student's homework folder, so no pull outs, special TAG group meet ups or projects from what I can see. With this said I have a feeling her school has very limited students that are in TAG if any.
186momx, Not sure if it works exactly the same in all states, but for Special Ed here,I know that school vacations count towards the 30 days that they have. My sister is a teacher and had told me to wait until we got back from Christmas break to submit DD2 because the Christmas break would basically screw everyone, me included. So if you have any school vacation time in that mix, make sure you're counting it.
Work has been very stressful for DH so he is completely scatter brained. London trip back off as he found it local in 2 weeks. Why he couldn’t find it local all this time I don’t know as I am sure their training schedule are set.
Field hockey- ok he wants to sign up DS. I don’t, so I say you have to do everything except I read the fine print and have the equipment ready. First I have to remind him of the time again. Then he says do I have to pick up DD from aftercare to? Um most people do pick up both their kids from aftercare. I left a smidge early so we passed each other on the road so he wants DD to jump out of one car into the other in the middle of the road (small 2 lane road we are opposite directions at a stop sign). Car pulls up behind him so I tell him it’s not safe. She is a slow poke and would hold up traffic. FFS dude your job is to handle sports and kids this evening. Oh and I also had to tell him to drop DS off since it was a class not a game we are not required to stay. When did he get so clueless and keep trying to pawn it off on me (first day), 4 more weeks to go. I said NO and I had a reason why because it was too much. YOU wanted to do this for DS and you to be with his friends. figure it out.
Also I have work news but I can’t tell you until it’s official. And it’s not about me.
Job update: I just got an email from the CEO asking if we can chat Monday. He has said that he was hoping to make a decision early next week. Maybe I got it??
DD1 is throwing up with a fever and dizziness. WTF. We just had a stomach bug ravage our house!
That’s how DD2 started off with flu. She was crying about a terrible headache and had a fever, then threw up all over me. Got swabbed later that day and had flu. You might want to take her to urgent care??

I've been debating urgent care or the ER since last night. I think she's getting really dehydrated. Somehow she's slightly perkier this morning, but super pale and still can't even keep down a sip of pedialyte or water. She's telling me she feels "less wobbly" today, but also, how do you trust a six year old to accurately self report something like that?
