I'm also sad they are closing. I have wide feet and I do much better trying shoes on. I saw some people on a FB thread saying they aren't that inexpensive anymore and are very low quality. I do think the quality has gone down in the last few years. Shoes I bought there 10-15 years ago lasted for a long time - 10+ years even with fairly regular use. Shoes I have bought in the past few years do seem to start showing wear sooner. However, since I either bought shoes on clearance or during a BOGO sale, they ended up being <$25/pair. There is one right around the corner from me. I think I will check them out this week.

Some of my longest lasting pairs of heels and boots have come from Payless, especially the Dexflex ones. My black booties are still the most comfortable pair of heeled shoes I have, though they are on their last leg (lol) after 6 years or so.
My favorite and most comfortable heels are from payless. I should try and get to one while they're still around to buy a couple more...
I’m a big fan of the comfort plus heels I’ve gotten from Payless. I needed a new pair of black recently and Payless didn’t seem to have them anymore. I did find them on amazon (and in other colors too) and they were still quite reasonably priced.
