For DS1 and 2 we had a Chicco key fit infant seat. It was purchased over 8 years ago and expired when DS2 was 9 months so I moved him to a convertible then. There seems to be so many more choices for infant car seats! What car seat will your LO be going home in?

We will be getting the nuna pipa. It fits all of our needs and I’ve read great reviews. It can be used with or without a base which was essential to me. It also meets European car seat standards. Plus it’s light and I have to carry up and down 3 flights of stairs.
We went cheap on the seat and got this one from Graco. No regrets. They are in the infant seat for under a year generally. Even with my peanut sized kid I was over it by 10 months or so and got him a convertible seat. This one did everything my friend’s fancy $200-$300 seats did. Bonus was that it’s a lot lighter than some of the fancier ones. We’ll use it again for DS2.
We’re going with the cheaper Graco seat this time (Snugride 35) since it’s one of the few infant seats compatible with our double (City Mini GT). With DS I used the Britax B-Safe and haaaaated it.

Chicco bc I already have the adapter for our City Select. Our current Keyfit is expiring the month #3 is due. We have 2 friends that also used the Keyfit that are not expecting and not currently using it, so I am torn between asking to borrow theirs (and risk having to replace in the event of an accident or other damage) or spending another $200 on a seat we will use maybe 8-9 months.

turbo, yes! We are doing the bugaboo bee. I’m happy to hear good reviews on both brands. I’ve done tons of research so it makes me more confident we have chosen correctly! I also like that they’re both Dutch brands.
I plan on getting the Uppababy Mesa. I want the Vista as a stroller, and it was what my doctor got when she had her baby and all the good points she had for it, convinced me.
The Chicco Keyfit 30. I want back and forth on that one or one of the Britax models. Both were highly recommended by my two sister-in-law's. I went with the Chicco because my parents already have a carseat base that will fit it and because I read the Britax can feel a bit snug for babies after a while. I expect our child to be broad and long, so I wanted to make sure there was more comfort.
We had them for the other 2 boys and repurchased for this one.
We have a converter to use it with a city mini gt.
How do you like the adapter for the Keyfit with the City Mini GT? We had a Brtiax B Safe (and CMGT) with DS and liked it a lot (infant seat just snapped in). I assumed I’d buy the same infant seat but now the adapter includes the support bar. Is it cumbersome to fold/takes up a lot more space in trunk?
I’m between Keyfit/another B Safe and just dealing with the support bar or going with the Graco like scm1011 (this one just snaps in right?).

I’m not scm1011 but yes the Graco seat just snaps in. I will say that it’s a little finnicky in that it needs to be lined up just so, but once you know how to do it it’s not bad. Just make sure you hear it snap. I really liked that it didn’t require a monstrous bar adapter. The Graco adapters are tiny.

I had the vista for DS1. It’s a fantastic stroller. After two kids and 8+years old, multiple international flights it’s still in good shape. I’ve been gifted some newer hand me down strollers so we probably won’t use the vista much anymore but it’s a great choice.

I had no issues folding it when the attachment was on. Since we have a minivan I didn’t notice if it took up more space, sorry!
We’re borrowing a graco snugride 35 from a friend, just like we did the first time around. We live in NYC, don’t own a car, and I can’t drive. I think DS used his infant seat 6 times or less before he outgrew it. We mostly just need it for the cab ride home from the hospital, otherwise we walk everywhere or take public transportation.
It works with our Vista, which I absolutely love! I can fit all our groceries in the underbasket. Can’t wait to pull it out of storage!
DDs chicco keyfit still is good, and we already had two bases. Now since we only will primarily be driving the van, we're borrowing a friends chicco and will just replace hers if it is in an accident.
Another vote for the Vista latte. We love ours! We've only had it for a year, but it's been great, and we use it quite a bit. The basket alone is worth getting it!
Same Graco SnugRide that we originally bought for DD and used with her for ~10 months. We already have the Graco snap & go frame stroller, so I'd rather not change brands. Plus, of all the seats, you use the bucket for the shortest time so it's the one I'm happiest to go pretty basic on.
I haven't checked the expiration date, but we bought it new in 2015 so I'm sure it'll be fine for 2019-20.
