I just don’t think he has a chance. He’s really disliked. Not that comments under news articles mean anything but they are ALL so very negative right now.
I don't think he has a chance either, because the data have shown that POC, especially black women, are carrying the Democratic party in elections. Black voters gave Bernie a hard pass in 2016, and he hasn't done anything to try to appeal to them since then.
I hope that the eventual Dem nominee understands that listening to and courting black voters is going to be key to winning the election.
And a comment from a white, male Millennial on my FB this morning “he is the most popular politician in the country because he has the actual most progressive platform on important issues like healthcare, environmentalism, and income inequality. that is why #millenials like him, not cause of his age or color lol”.
I wish I had better resources at hand on Kamala Harris and other candidates’ platforms
This provides NOMINATE voting scores of legislators which scientifically analyzes their votes on bills, amendments, etc. Looking at the last couple of sessions, Warren, Harris, Booker and Baldwin are more liberal in their voting than Sanders (just examining Senators). Yes, floor votes are different from election platforms but generally they would be strongly correlated.
Oh Gaaaaaaaawd. My County party meetings are going to be unbearable. This is one time I'm glad I'm not in the neighboring district. We have our Berners but they have out-and-out Bros and cultists.
“Asked by Vermont Public Radio how he will pitch his candidacy in such a diverse and progressive field, Sanders argued, "We have got to look at candidates not by the color of their skin, not by their sexual orientation or gender and not by their age. I think we have got to try to move us toward a nondiscriminatory society that looks at people based on their abilities, based on what they stand for."”

Learned nothing.
Shout-y, old white man says wut. Whatever, dumbass.

The next meeting for the 46th District Dems is tomorrow. I WAS looking forward to it, but now.... ugh.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

Is this his way of saying "I don't see color/I'm color blind"?
Saw this on FB. It makes me so mad. We should be thankful he isn't running as an Independent, even though he leaves the D party after every election.
To those who complain that “Bernie isn’t a Democrat.”
Would you honestly prefer he run as an independent? Knowing what that entails? Because as much as people like to blame Bernie for Trump, he could EASILY give you Trump by not running as a Democrat
But Bernie won’t. He would never even consider an independent run for President. Because he knows full well what that would entail.
Bernie lost a primary in 2016 in which the Party’s power brokers were heavily (and admittedly) stacked against him. He could have complained. He could have campaigned against Hillary Clinton after the Primary.
He instead did campaign rallies for her.
Remember Donna Brazile’s book? Where she describes Bernie’s reaction to finding out about the Podesta emails outlying how stacked against him everyone was? His first response wasn’t “how dare they” or “I’m burning this shit down.”
It was “can Hillary still win?”
You’re welcome to dislike Bernie Sanders. You’re welcome to prefer anyone else for President. But the moment you start accusing him of being only in it for himself, a man who literally ran a Presidential campaign on the exact same message he’s been toiling in complete obscurity with since he was a teenager, that’s where you cross over into just plain nonsense.
If Bernie were truly selfish, he would do what a lot of you all are implying he should do: run as an independent.
He won’t.
Be thankful he isn’t as selfish as some of you like to accuse him of being.
I’m anticipating a lot of these. It’s already started.
But the answer isn’t choosing between running as a democrat or independent, it’s that he should not run at all.
He’s already been largely bumped off the cnn homepage.
What a splash. I really hope I don’t have to vote for him in the general.
I noticed that MSNBC barely mentioned it during its 7am (Pacific time) hour, and when they finally did it was in the context of Klobuchar rejecting some of Bernie's stances.

Good Lord this old man needs to go.
It's the same as last time, huh?
I did read this quote from him:
“Our campaign,” he said, “is about transforming our country and creating a government based on the principles of economic, social, racial and environmental justice,” CNN reports.
But same article reminds us that he didn't win the Black vote even against Hillary, who fumbled and failed a lot of race issues the entire candidacy, and also that they can't wait to see Harris best him.

In case it also helps lessen the absolute exasperation for anyone else: this pic on the NPR app homepage offered an internal, smug & smarmy ‘GFYourself Old Man’
