WRAL has a play by play of the testimony. Mark Harris is such a damn fraud. He's a pastor, and he lies under oath like that? Even if he didn't know, it's like he CHOSE not to know. He's a piece of crap and I hope they disqualify him from ever running again. And Dowless should get some kind of punishment as well.

Mark Harris said he didn't know John Harris would be testifying until Tuesday night. I wonder if they were close? I wonder if they will be after all this? Seems like John is exasperated with his father's willful unknowing, but is trying to not get him in real trouble.

MSNBC just rolled testimony of the “candidate” saying that his son was a “sharp attorney” but thought he was having a father/son talk. AND then said his son is judgemental with a “taste of arrogance”. Sure, asshole.

This motherfucker thinks he has a defense for this.

His FEC filings say they paid him around ~$90k, and owe Red Dome another $40kish (I added that up super fast, there were 11 entries for Red Dome in the Oct-November filing document). And state of NC has a felon registry lookup - it's free and open to the public without a background check. It took me about two seconds to find him.

I doubt he runs again. The local news said he has had a couple small strokes in the last month. I have worked with his wife several times and she has been nothing but gracious and kind.

There have been issues in these couple districts for years, but no one wanted to address them since the races weren't that close. There are also other races that were close with similar issues that are not being addressed this year in NC. They need to get their shit together.

On Twitter someone gave Harris a shoutout for at least raising a good son; I retorted with pretty sure that is ALL Mrs. Harris’s doing (without knowing anything about their family, of course), & a whole bunch of people agreed.

I was wondering if that’s why he called for a new election. Maybe he is thinking he can dodge further, possibly more serious, consequences by calling for a new election and then announcing he won’t run again?

Once they voted on the new election, they stopped the investigation into the fraud. So NC really has no idea what the extent of the fraud really is. There has also been proven fraud on the Dems side with a PAC in Baden County. They are only focusing on the House race, but what about all of the other races in those counties that were on those ballots?? Are they going to redo all of those elections too?? It is a giant cluster. I feel like no one really wants to get to the bottom of ALL of the fraud going on.
