My backordered cabinet for beside the fireplace FINALLY arrives today! I really really hope it looks good in that spot because I’ve waited 2 months for it and love the piece itself.
I don't know if you'd want that quoted but I just want to say I'm sorry you're in this position. PDQ. I was taken to a hospital a year ago for my drinking, broke a bone while drunk, almost got arrested.. and I still couldn't stop. My best friend told me she was worried, the alcohol was the problem, she thought I needed some intervention and while I never froze her out, I did start to hide things from her. The first time I got sober though (for a couple years) it WAS because someone close to me had a sit down with me. So there is a chance that it could help. For me, it was easy to fall back into once I got complacent so likely they will need help if they choose to quit. I've since hit a pretty bad bottom and gotten sober but unfortunately it took a lot. I really hope your friends don't get to a point where they are at that place and they can realize the problem before it gets worse. Hugs and wishing you the best with that conversation.
((( lexxasaurus )))thank you for sharing that. They have stopped making plans with us since I got pregnant to because we said we don’t want to hang out if drinking is the focus. We suggested a brunch place and they said no because they didn’t have dollar mimosas 😔 so I think pulling away might be the beat course of action even though I want to talk to them and have them change.
I'm rewatching The Fall for like the third time and damn Stella is such an amazing character, Gillian Anderson is so good in it, and all of the acting is stellar. I feel like it's one of the best shows ever - at least the first season.
“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent,”
Oh and the 90210 reunion has me excited. It's going to suuuuck, but I'm ok with that.
DId you see Luke Perry had a Major Stroke!?!? DYLAN!
Yes I'm sad. I was just saying how good he looked on Riverdale. Gosh I hope he's ok, he's not that old.
On a true random, someone on FB was talking about this new revival. I was saying I have to re-watch season 10 as I missed the part about how Dylan's dad was alive because those bastards moved Dawson's Creek to the same time (pre-on demand or DVR). Another person joked that I *spoiled* it for them. Listen bruh, 19 years later it's your issue, if you were being serious. Either way now I must spend many hours going down that rabbit hole.

My aunt is dying and I just don’t know how to feel about it. At one point in my life, I loved her to death and was so ridiculously close to her. Then family drama ensued. She chose not to come to my wedding because of said drama and I haven’t been close to her in a long, long time. Since probably 7 years ago. I’m already a weird person when it comes to emotion and this doesn’t help.
dreamcrisp1 I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Death brings up all sorts of emotions and it can be hard to reconcile the person you wish they were (or used to be) with the person they were at death.

I am SO judgy. We rent in a two family house. Our neighbors downstairs have 2 daughters-13 and 15. The 15 year old has a boyfriend and they allow her to be driven around in his truck with him.
I just can’t believe they allow their kid to ride around with a douche bro in a big red truck (which he revs when he picks her up and then blasts off down the street and acts like a douche-I also hate people who have big trucks that don’t actually need them for work/etc. so that colors my opinion). My parents were totally hands off but I still wasn’t allowed in a car with another teen driving until I was a senior.
***Cue 80 people talking about how they’re younger than their H, they’re childhood sweethearts and I’m pearl clutching. And that there’s nothing wrong with owning a big douche bro pickup and it’s totally ok to buy a big ass truck even if they never use or need the actual pickup part. 😂
lilafowler, I am not sure my mom would have allowed me to date someone with a car at that age and I think i was allowed only group dates for a long time. how old is the kid, do you think?

In MA you have to be 17 to get your license...and he’s been around a few months...
It’s funny because my own husband is all “what’s wrong with you? There’s nothing wrong with it-people need rides!” 😂

lol I did not have a boyfriend until i was a senior. So, i was 18 and my boyfriend was about the same and was not an issue with my mom. At 15, me dating a 17 year old with his own car would have been an issue.

At 41, knowing the shit we did as young teens, I would want to lock my kids in their rooms until about age 28.
I see trucks in two ways, first one is what you described. HUGE truck, even bigger douche driving it and drives like they own the road.
Then there’s men who use/need a truck and I find that super hot! We have a decent amount of both here. Lol.
OMG, me too. Same thing about those big belt buckles (on the right guy) Why???
namasteak, thank you. It’s just so sudden. She got Stevens-Johnson’s disease and then TENS disease in the past 2 days. . Things I had never heard of until yesterday. I guess I thought we would all have time to reconcile and make up for the drama.

I agree that looking back even being a good kid who didn't drink or smoke I shouldn't have been hanging out with 17/18 year oldds at 14/15. I understand why parents don't want their kids driving with inexperienced drivers and/or having all of their kids in the car with an inexperienced driver. I'm not a fan of trucks. Our neighbors daughter had a bf who would drive up in his big LOUD truck every night. So annoying. I think driving a truck makes people think they have a license to be a douche.

That’s a lot to handle ❤️ FWIW, I was estranged from one of my grandmothers when she passed about 4 years ago. It has taken time and introspection, but I am now able to (mostly) accept the good memories of her while still knowing she want the warm fuzzy person I wanted her to be.
