I slept through the night comforting myself with the thought that mueller’s job is not prosecution, but investigation and data collection. The indictments we’ve seen were to help accumulate evidence on Individual 1 and the inner circle. Now he passes the ball to NY where presidential pardons aren’t a factor.

That’s exactly what I was thinking! He knows that Trump (and the associates) have already looked into pardoning, so it’s pointless for him to do the heavy lifting on that. Better to let Southern District of NY handle it where it’s away from Trump’s pardoning power.
I am seeing multiple tweets from reporters that the DOJ is saying Barr won't release anything today.
I didn't think today was likely. He needs time to read, analyze, compose information to be released. He has until midnight tomorrow to meet his deadline. I think it's likely he won't release the full report this weekend but only certain information (the most expected and least damaging) and will take time to further review and decide upon what passes review for dissemination to the public.
And doesn't Trump have pardon powers over SDNY? It's a federal not a state court. I'm hoping he's ousted in 2020 by a Democrat president who doesn't see pardoning him as better for the nation. If he's impeached, Pence will pardon him "for the betterment and security of the nation." (See: Ford pardons Nixon.)
I really think someone changed his Twitter password. He hasn't tweeted once since it was announced. Its not like him to not say something.
I’m really amazed that he doesn’t engage with people on Twitter. Heaven knows he hasn’t got the sense or self-restraint to avoid petty arguments. He probably doesn’t know how.
Either that or someone else is controlling his Twitter account. Maybe they set him up with something like a Creed Thoughts empty Word doc where he only thinks he’s live tweeting.

I'm pretty sure this means that either he has no idea what's in it, or that he does, and it's really bad for him.
I really hope so. I saw someone on twitter make a point that imagine if Manafort, Flynn, Stone, Papa and the rest of the criminals were all indicted on Friday along with the Russia indictments how explosive that would be. We are just use to them being criminals daily that it's just another news cycle.
Hard to tell. Like someone else said, I think it’s going to be a sanitized summary that’s released to Congress.
I wonder if the crux is that Trump is compromised due to his business dealings but an unwitting asset when it comes to Russian cyber warfare. Maybe enough of a line was maintained to not be considered coordination.

Translation - Trump is an idiot child who didn't know left from right when all of this was happening.
Nadler tweeting bits. Says it doesn’t conclude POTUS committed a crime but it does not exonerate him. Barr and Rosenstein don’t think there’s enough for obstruction of justice charge.
so Mueller didn’t take a position and left that up to Barr, who has argued this whole thing was ridiculous, and Rosenstein. I’ll wait for more to be released, but I’m not feeling any positive vibes here.
Trump asked the Russians to hack Hillary's emails on TV. The Russians tried to hack Hillary's servers the same day. How is that not coordinating with the Russians to influence the election?
And then there are all the efforts to obstruct the investigation, from issuing false statements about the June 2016 meeting with the Russians to firing Comey.
And don't tell me Trump didn't lie in his written statements to Mueller. Like... WTF?

Right. I honestly just don’t know what is considered breaking the law. We have shitty laws if all of this is ok. We really do.
So all of this gets kicked to Congress. Wonderful.
My take: There was no smoking gun so while it looks suspicious they don’t have enough to prove anything. The standard for political malfeasance is lower than legal.
I still imagine there is quite a bit in the report that pertains to his businesses but Barr wasn’t going to report that.
Literally every Republican from here on out will follow this playbook to election victory now. What’s going on in Georgia - buying the crappiest election equipment possible - will go nationwide now.
Even if we somehow get our hands on more details and it shows trump in a bad light, this letter from Barr will be the only thing the GOP will believe. They tainted it.

I think the lack of comments from him on it is because he knows it wasn’t really a win or a loss, and his advisers have told him ignoring it makes him look more presidential.
