Unexpected Italy trip - need help

My company is unexpectedly sending me to Milan in June for a conference. I’d like to extend my trip and explore Northern Italy. I’m thinking of spending 5-6 days there. Where should I go? I’m thinking of flying out of Venice to go home. Any recs? I’m clueless.

We really liked Torino and did a day-trip to Alba. We are really into wine and truffles. You can take a bus from MXP to Torino. Or a train from Milan.
