Starting around 2:30am (it's almost 6:30am now), I woke up with intense intestinal cramping. I thought I had to have diarrhea or something. I spent the majority of the past four hours on the toilet with almost nothing coming out. When I first went, I felt the color drain from my face, sweat starting pouring, and I felt my vision going. I had to have my husband come in to make sure I didn't pass out. I couldn't keep my eyes open, head lolling back, the whole thing. I managed to stay conscious. I was not straining or anything ot prompt it at this time. About an hour ago, after I got off the toilet after once again nothing coming out, I noticed some red blood on the tissue paper from my vagina. Not a lot, but definitely noticeable.
I will say just recently I went to the bathroom and had some diarrhea. So I'm really unsure if this is from diarrhea, or if I should get checked out? I'm 20 weeks today. I did have slight spotting a couple weeks ago that I went to the doctor with and it turns out it was from a yeast infection. I treated that and it went away, so I don't think the bleeding is from that.
Hasten pain stopped or lessened at all? After so many hours I would be inclined to seek medical attention ASAP. I will say, that once as a university student I had very similar sounding gas pain, and it took hours to pass. I did feel like an idiot when I eventually farted in the waiting room and it went away (oy). However, I would still want to be looked at if I was in similar pain again.

I had diarrhea about an hour ago. The pain still comes and goes. I had horrible gas pain a while ago, and this isn't it. This feels like having diarrhea pains, but I know that's also what labor felt like when I had my son. Just used the bathroom again and less blood than the last time, but still some spotting. I'm trying to stay hydrated but feel so weak. I just fell asleep in the rocking chair while I was getting my son up for daycare. Apparently he tried to wake me up several times. I woke up about 20 minutes later.
I would call your doctor and head to labor and delivery. It's probably just a stomach bug (whatever is going around is NASTY), but they can verify, make sure baby is ok and give you a bag of fluids. You'll likely feel like a new person after some fluids.
You had pain so intense you had someone come check you didn’t pass out and your son had to wake you multiple times - of course you should get checked out!
I'm glad you're getting checked out. Until I got to the part where you said you were 20 weeks, I was nodding along thinking, yeah that's how early labor felt for me too (I didn't realize it was labor). It could also be approximately 46,000 other things that are way more likely at 20 weeks. Hope you are doing better and it's some random fluke.
I had something similar at 30 weeks when I was pregnant with my second son. I recovered (no issues found) but it was my gallbladder slowly failing. It failed at 4 months pp. At that point, I figured out what the issue was. I am glad you are getting checked out.
Update: Just left the hospital. They heard baby’s heartbeat and did a swab. They said it looks like it was all just GI related. The midwife was gruff and acted like I shouldn’t be there. She also weirdly had me go over my ENTIRE medical history (including my grandparents) even though she should have all that info.
So now after spending all morning at the hospital, I’m ravenous and exhausted. I was planning on going into work at 1, which means I have less than an hour to eat and rest. But thank goodness nothing was wrong.

I'm late to this, but I'm glad you had everything checked out and are okay. Fingers crossed whatever was going on is over and done with and you can get some sleep tonight!
Although my blood pressure was 130/56. They didn’t say anything while I was there. I asked the MA at work and he said it sounded a little low for the bottom number. I just started metropolol, twice per day. I’m wondering now if my blood pressure is getting too low with the amount of meds? This could also explain me nearly passing out last night.
I’m annoyed they didn’t say anything about it and I didn’t notice until I got my discharge paperwork.
My bottom number has been between 55-60 this whole pregnancy and no one has said anything. I did ask at one point and they said it’s low but fine 🤷🏻♀️
I was on metropol with my last pregnancy (and will be again with this one). It always makes me feel more tired and sluggish and I’m on a very small dose so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an contributing factor
My blood pressure today was 90/56. They said it’s low and to cut my motropolol in half if I feel dizzy, etc. I think I will, especially after my near fainting incident last week.
