We are going on June and need to make dinner reservations. We have park hopper tickets so DL or CA restaurants work. There will be 2 adults and a 7 and 2yo (boys). We are already doing Blue Bayou with Famtasmic seating and Goofys Kitchen. What should be our third. We definitely want dinner reservations since the parks will be packed.
We were thinking about the world of color reserved seating packages but aren’t thrilled with Cathay Circle or Wine Country restaurants with the boys.

Carnation Cafe, River Belle Terrace and Cafe Orleans are good. Blue Bayou is overpriced for dinner and you cant get the Monte Cristo during dinner hours, it is a lunch only item.
What dont you like about Carthay Circle and Wine Country Trattotia's menus? Their kids menus are standard kid food. If those menus bother you, dont even consider Lamplight Lounge as an option for food.
Storytellers Cafe at the Grand has a decent dinner buffet.
There are quite a few restaurants in downtown Disney that work for families- Tortilla Joes, Splitsville and Naples are all kid friendly foods. Black Tap burgers might be open by then so that could be an option.
We enjoyed Blue Bayou for dinner, Carnation Cafe for lunch, Goofy's Kitchen for dinner (but OMG it's loud), and Napa Rose for dinner. Napa Rose was probably our best meal. Most expensive of course but really good.
We also a ton of ice cream from Salt and Straw. Yummy!
Don't eat at Ralph Brennan's. That was 100% the worst meal we've ever had on Disney property meal ever. Absolutely disgusting food and in no way would I call it cajun. Storyteller's buffet was the 2nd worst meal we've ever had on Disney property.
Cafe Orleans or maybe Lamplight Lounge. I will say with mobile ordering, QS is so easy!! I wouldn’t write it off. QS is so much better there than WDW too.

It wasn’t the menu as much as the ambiance as DS2 is more difficult at dinner than DS1 was at the same age. We’ve done both before and want something different. The Ranch bbq was our favorite before it closed.
We love the setting Of Blue Bayou and the boys did/will too.
I love Tortilla Joes but we will do that on a non park day.
The only sit down restaurant I ate at in Disneyland was brunch at Storytellers café. it was really good and good character interaction. Otherwise I did all counter service, but the food was much better than I expected.
I really like Cafe Orleans - you can get similar food to BB without the high price. I loved Carthay Circle, but the last time I ate there I got horrible food poison so I’ve only been back for drinks since.
Black Tap just opened in DTD and they have options for everyone.
