I’m actually really surprised to see this, especially with so many other unsafe products still being available to purchase. I figured these would end up in the same category as crib bumpers, still available but not recommended.

It says older than 6 months you will get a voucher for value depending on how old it is. I will be interested to see how much I get for mine (late 2015). Also, my kids are 5 and 3.5 and idk if the third will happen. What am I going to do with the voucher? 🤔

A favorite moral question for gbcn: my daughter is 6 months old and loved her rock n play in her first few month. We stopped using it well over 2 months ago because I didn’t feel like it was safe anymore. I planned on keeping it for a second potentia/hypothetical baby. Would it be wrong to return it for the credit since we haven’t been using any longer anyway?

I’m guessing it will just be a generic Fisher Price one. They have some good stuff for those ages.

Ok so here’s the question. I let my kid chill in the RnP during the day, often he’d fall asleep in it (GASPPPPPP). What do I use for this kid? I mean, I have to be able to set him down. I don’t want a giant contraption in the middle of my living room. So what else is safe with a smaller footprint like a RnP?

This is my question too. I guess maybe a bouncer seat? DS hated his though so....

I’ll have to find one and hope he/she likes it, but serious question- how are these safer? I mean, incline is the same isn’t it?
Difference in design. While sleeping in these is dangerous it’s open enough you don’t have the same level of risk for awake time
Still only put baby to bed in a Safe sleep space (crib, bassinet, PNP) but these are safe for wake time
So basically it’s safer because your kid won’t fall asleep in it. The only safe baby products are the ones that keep you and your kid awake as long as possible.

The floor. We gated a smaller space with infant toys for my son, and the size grew with him.

That's my question. How are swings and bouncers any safer?
I asked H this question, because DD loves her swing and her bouncer, and his thought was that it might be the hammock effect of the RNP. Both the swing and bouncer seem like they have more stable plastic in their structure, which might make it more difficult for a baby to roll into a dangerous position and get stuck.
I don’t know if there’s any truth to that thought, but I can see how it might make sense.
I’m so glad DD2 never got hooked on ours. Not even because I think it’s too risky, I just couldn’t in good conscience after the recall.
I’m probably going to send in mine from 2016, I was hoping to sell it with all my other baby gear before this happened, so it’d be nice to get something instead of trashing it.
