2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? My dr let me schedule an early ultrasound to do a quick gender scan this week so me and my mom are going in on Thursday. DH can't make it so she's going to see what it is and help me with a reveal for us to open later that night. I'm excited! Although I'm pretty sure I already know its a boy
3. Questions for the group? I'm trying to plan an easy last only-child trip to take with DS (3) and H around august-ish. H suggested Disney but I don't know that I want to walk around Disney in Aug 7 mo pregnant haha. Any suggestions? We are in Utah but willing to fly/drive. If all else fails we will just drive to Southern Utah and get a hotel with a pool and swim/hang out.
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? We did celebrate Easter with just about all the family time I can handle! Easter egg hunt at my moms house with my sister and stepsisters on Sat, then Sunday we went to a picnic at my grandmas. Normally we do this in the mountains but my grandma was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer did didn't feel well enough to leave the house It was a really fun weekend but I'm exhausted! Haha

I've only been to Disney World, but I would say Disneyland would be possibly do-able, but Orlando in August, pregnant or not, I would pass big time! The heat and humidity would be terrible.
Good luck deciding on a trip! I bet no matter what you decide, you guys will have fun

woowoo, That schedule sounds so excessive for a complication-free, AMA pregnancy. I'm AMA and high risk, and that's pretty much my current schedule -- NSTs twice a week, cervical check once a week. However, I will say that when my NSTs go well, I'm in and out of there in 30 minutes.
lovelyshoes, Congrats on your last week! I hope you find some relief.
scm1011, My OB said they try not to induce for AMA pregnancies unless there's some other reason.
1. 33 weeks +3 days!!
2. I basically feel like this baby is overdue. We had an ultrasound on Friday that showed a cervix length of 3 millimeters, but still no dilation. I guess that's as good as I can hope for! Her kidney no longer looks dilated, and her brain ventricles now look normal. WHEW. Carseat, stroller, and bassinet have been ordered and my mom will be taking them straight to our storage unit until they're needed. We decided that was a good compromise -- we'll have the stuff, but I don't have to see it.
3. Reassurances and head pats, please. The ultrasound showed that she measures right on track in everything but her head. Her head is measuring almost 4 weeks ahead (no pun intended). DH does have a larger head, so I'm hoping it's just genetics. My OB hasn't called me (and he's called me in the past when something really serious pops up), but ugh, I can't help but worry there's something wrong. Anyone else had a baby with large head measurements?

woowoo that sounds overwhelming. I have had weekly appointments and sonos since 36 weeks. They didnhar the last time when I wasn’t AMA, so it’s for all patients. I had my appointment this morning and the dr said she wasn’t worried about inducing due to my age. I hope I don’t jinx myself, but I trust them. Last week they said that unless other issues come up they don’t want to induce, but don’t believe I will go too past my due date. Being ivf I think my due date is pretty accurate and they know what they are doing. All that being said, I have no progress, so I’m going to eat all the spicy food, walk a ton and try to tire myself out. I overdid it the last time and that’s when my water broke. Wishing you an uneventful and easy end of pregnancy. I hope it all goes the way you plan.

I have a question, do I bring my pump to the hospital? I didn’t the last time. Do I sterilize all the parts before use? I can’t remember what I did before. Also, what do you use to wash bottles? I think I used just regular dawn, but there are so many baby products around now that maybe I should use those? Baby organics? Thank you!
I have a question, do I bring my pump to the hospital? I didn’t the last time. Nah, if you need one they have them there. I used a hospital Symphony last time when DD was in the NICU.
Do I sterilize all the parts before use? I can’t remember what I did before. Yes
Also, what do you use to wash bottles? I think I used just regular dawn, but there are so many baby products around now that maybe I should use those? Baby organics? Thank you! I never used a special soap. At first I probably boiled/etc., but that quickly turned into throwing them in the dishwasher. Those dishwasher baskets for small parts are clutch.

1. How far along are you this week? 11w5d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? My NIPT and NT scan are on Wednesday morning (at 12 weeks exactly). We've only had 1 ultrasound, and that was at the RE at 6 weeks. My anxiety about a missed miscarriage is just over the top now so I'm a hot mess counting down to Wednesday. Strangely, I'm not worried about potential issues being revealed with the testing...
If all goes well, I feel like we can maybe breathe a little. Start talking about potential names, book the "babymoon", look more seriously into what car I need to trade mine in for, and - the biggie - share our news. We want to wait for gender result to announce so we aren't making 2 announcements back to back. I'm so envious of all these people announcing at 6-8 weeks pregnant. I wish I had that much confidence.
3. Questions for the group? Anyone deal with dizziness? 100% of the time, I get dizzy/black fuzzy vision when I stand up either from a sitting position or bending over and then standing back up. It's been going on for about 2 weeks. I grab on to a piece of furniture until it passes but did almost pass out over the weekend - I got the loud noise in my ears and had to sit on the floor. I am already a camel and eat every 2-3 hours, which are the only tips I can find online.
I wasn't concerned at all (esp since it's really my only symptom!) but my FIL told my DH he's concerned about my blood pressure being too low and I need to get it checked. He's not a doctor but he rarely has an opinion on anything so the fact that he's actually concerned about me made me think twice about just brushing it off.
Is it worth asking the OB about on Wed? I don't want to be that pregnant woman asking stupid questions
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? I work in the local church so Easter is like our Super Bowl. I run a marathon (in a dress and heels) for 4 hours and then don't want to see another human being the rest of the day (introvert here). We were invited to Easter lunch by several friends/church members but I always decline; I just make reservations for a great Easter brunch and then crash. I thought I might hit the beach yesterday but opted for a 3.5 hour nap on the couch instead. It was glorious.

1. How far along are you this week? 35 weeks!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Yes. I want people to stop telling me how to induce labor. For one, if the baby comes now it's a NICU stay even if it is a short one just for observation. And also, I like her due date (Memorial Day) so I'm fine if she stays there. Even if I am SO DONE being pregnant lol
3. Questions for the group? Has anyone tried any Kindred Bravely sleep/nursing bras? Or any other recommendations?
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? Spent it with ILs. It was fine except they were the ones giving inducment advice.
chocolatepie, I had that with my first pregnancy and it was from super low blood pressure (like 80/50) and anemia. I took iron supplements and it went away by about 15 weeks or so. I don't think its that uncommon, but I would definitely mention it to your OB.

oliviapope Why are they so into inducing you? That’s so odd on top of giving unsolicited medical advice. I’ve had so many people telling me about their early labor this time around. I’m always baffled as to what possesses people to tell people stuff like that.
*waves* Joining in with everyone for the first time this pregnancy.
1. How far along are you this week? 7w + 5d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Oh the boob pain. And the nausea. 🤢
3. Questions for the group? Nothing off the top of my head.
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? We had a pretty low key Easter with our two year old. Breakfast and Easter basket in the morning, nap and then egg hunt in the afternoon. Dinner of ham and asparagus and au gratin potatoes. Too many mini-eggs were consumed by me (a bit of stress eating during GOT, lol).

lovelyshoes I seriously don't know. My SIL was induced with both of hers because her doctor insisted her babies were huge. They were 6 and 7 lbs so whatever. I was really trying not to be rude but I did end up saying, "Let's not wish for my baby to be born early, as I'd like to avoid the NICU."
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We got our NIPT results back this morning and baby looks perfectly healthy, no risks for Downs and low risk for any other genetic issues. We also found out we are team BLUE!!
3. Questions for the group? Not today
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? I cooked and had my family and ILs over. It went well, other than my BILs fiancé and her kid showing up when we were told they weren’t coming. So literally as we were sitting down to eat (because they showed up late), I had to get out 2 more chairs and place settings. DH stood at the kitchen island with me (I was sitting) to eat because we didn’t set up an extra table because we didn’t know they were coming and I was ok with everyone sitting at the table and me sitting at the island (it’s an eat in kitchen). I’m glad they came, but a heads up would have been nice.
wooo! congrats! we got our results back today too. i only checked the chromosome stuff, which was all fine, haven't clicked on the 'show me the sex' button. waiting for tonight at home with DH.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? just got the bloodwork part of the 1st tri scan back and everything was fine there. waiting to get home tonight to look at the sex with DH. it feels so weird to me since we were team green last time. we plan to keep it mostly to ourselves for a bit though.
3. Questions for the group? not that i can think of at the moment.
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? we did easter basket at home in the AM, then to my sister's house for dinner. nice, quiet, low key day.
oliviapope I used the Kindred Braverly nursing/sleep bras with my first (N16) and I really liked them. If my boobs weren't so ridiculously large, I would have loved them but I have a hard time finding things that work for me and those were the best out of the myriad brands I tried.

Hi ladies, I am a longtime lurker on Money Matters, Travel, Health & Fitness that has very rarely posted in the past few years. Hoping to jump in here and become more active with this amazing group of supportive ladies. I am 32, and my husband and I are expecting our first baby - we are thrilled for the adventure ahead of us!
1. How far along are you this week? 11 weeks, 5 days as of today
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We got our Panorama results back last week. I'm relieved to know that baby is healthy, and we found out we're having a girl. Neither H or I had a preference or a feeling that it was a boy or girl, but within 5 minutes of finding out, it all of a sudden felt so much more real. It's fun to know and be able to think about name and nursery planning more now.
3. Questions for the group? Since finding out I am pregnant, I have been cold continuously. It seems like I read about people being warm. Anyone else in the cold boat? Wondering if it's just made my overall poor circulation even worse.
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? No Easter celebrations for us this year. We had friends in town visiting and spent a chill day hanging out and exploring the city with them. It was a welcome break from Easter with family which can be somewhat stressful normally.
I am AMA and my OB won’t let me go past 39 weeks but this all stemmed from my birth with DS2. Being AMA just added to her reasoning. We had the discussion at 8 weeks pregnant. Since then I’ve been diagnosed with GD so now scheduled c-section is on the table too. That I pushed back on a little so the plan now is induction between 38-39 weeks. I’m almost 33 weeks and see my OB every other week now, with sonograms and NSTs scheduled for my remaining visits.
1. 33 weeks tomorrow 2. We picked a name that we both like! Dh’s list early on was awful so I was worried and we tabled the name discussion for a while and this weekend we settled on the first name. Now just the middle name to figure out. We also just got back from a week in Kauai with our two boys and we had a blast. While the spacing (4 years between each kid) wasn’t how far apart we wanted them it does make travel much easier. 3. None at the moment 4. We had a massive egg hunt at my parents house and both kids were thrilled with it. My oldest (just turned 8) definitely questioned the Easter bunny’s existence this year but he wants to believe so bad he just went with it.
I have another question. Is getting our car seat inspected still a thing? It's turning out to be a MAJOR PIA here, none of the fire stations or AAA offices do it any more. THere is one hospital that does it with an apt but it's booking a full month in advance, costs $30 PER CAR, and it's in the middle of the work day.
We both have newer cars with the LATCH system and our car seat has that leveling bar in it. I'm not understanding how we could possibly screw it up, but will absolutely do the inspection if it's necessary. Thoughts?

It's still a thing here, but if it's a huge hardship it's probably not necessary. Do you have a friend who has kids who could give it a second look?
I will say that I'm pretty anal and a huge rule/instruction follower. After I installed the infant seat I was all "there's no way they will find anything wrong with it. I did it! I will get an A+". Yeah....I brought it in and somehow the (really cute) firefighter got it like 12 times tighter. He even showed me a trick to pull it tighter easier. All that to say....I thought I had it right too, but for me it was worth the second set of eyes.

I did not have the bucket seat inspected. Sort of ran out of time before the birth, and after it just sort of fell off the radar. I am well versed in all of the safety rules, but damn it was tough actually getting the straps right with a kid in. I'm horrified looking at the pictures from the first few days, but by the time we got the green light to leave the hospital I just did not care. I did have the convertible checked, but I also had specific questions about a couple of things.
Questions for the group? Anyone have a cerclage put in, what should I expect?
I had cerclages placed twice. One at 11 weeks, and another at 24 weeks. Cramping was fairly intense post-procedure-- moreso than I expected. I was placed on bedrest after my first.

We did but that’s because it was easy. And my husband had done it right without issue. The only issue actually was that I had the chest clip too low on his chest. Oops. So I vote no big if you can’t get it done.
woowoo, I will ditto icedcoffee that it SEEMS like car seat install will be super easy, but we haven't always found it to be. I have a friend who is a CPST (and an EMT) and I had her come help us with the bucket seat before #1 was born. She checked our install job, and it wasn't wrong, but it wasn't tight enough. We absolutely couldn't get it any tighter, but she knew what angles to push and pull at to get it tighter. When she was done, it was like ooh, yeah, that's much better. It was a Graco bucket seat in a Subaru Forester, so nothing at all exotic about the car/seat combination. Our install in the Jetta was better.
I'd say if you do your install and you have some wiggle, it's worth getting some help. But if you do it and it's not going anywhere, you may be just fine. I feel like everyone says get a CPST to check your bucket seat, but how many of us have all the subsequent seats checked too as our kids graduate through? We've worked our way through bucket, RFing convertible, FFing convertible, and now a FFing-only seat, and I can't remember getting any of them checked since the bucket.
Sometimes you can get a more secure seatbelt install than LATCH, so try both if you're not sure LATCH feels just right. Also, we struggled way more with middle seat installs than outboard seat installs.

WinterWine I too am the weirdo cold pregnant person. I do BBT monitoring for conception and I can confirm that even though my internal temperature goes up, I feel frigid the first three months I am pregnant. It’s my early tell. I think it’s because my insides are hotter, so by comparison my skin feels the outside is colder. I just think my personal temperature is really dependent on what my skin feels.
It was awful through the winter in Canada. Although everyone in my office was convinced I was not pregnant since I kept on complaining and turning the temperature up in the office.
1. How far along are you this week? 28 weeks. Third trimester!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? My ribs on my right side are KILLING me. I'm okay if I'm sitting or laying, but standing or walking for long periods of time is torture. And it's difficult since I'm on my feet for 12 hours a day when I'm working. I had the same thing with DS, but I feel like it's much worse this time around.
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? DS got an Easter basket, and we went to brunch just the 3 of us. Nothing crazy.

1. How far along are you this week? 18+3
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Vent - I've been relatively unaffected by hormonal emotions so far on this journey. But, DH and I had a heated conversation the other night about a whole bunch of stuff and I'm feeling all the emotions still today. I really wanted to just stay home and be by myself yesterday, but I had to/have to finish prepping for a BIG presentation today with our leadership team, so couldn't take a personal day. Random - My bump is starting to actually feel like a real thing! I laid down on my stomach to mess with and pet my pup over the weekend and it felt like I was laying on a huge rock lol. I guess I won't be doing that anymore. I also have my anatomy scan on Thursday and can't wait to see the little guy again.
3. Questions for the group? Not really right now. I need to get through this week and hopefully will get my brain back!
4. Did you celebrate Easter or Passover this weekend? How did it go? We did, DH was actually off on Friday, so we were able to attend Good Friday service for the first time I think ever. Sunday we just went to church and then DH grilled some ribs with the kids. It was good until about an hour or so before we needed to leave to take the kids back to their moms. They were out riding bikes and my step daughter (10.5) crashed hard going down a hill. Like, massive road rash on her face - plus bruises, shoulder, side, knees and a sprained wrist Thankfully she was wearing a helmet because it was even cracked and now needs to be replaced. It was a good lesson since they are always fighting us on wearing helmets and this is exactly why.
scm1011, the only reason it got brought up at my OB visit last week is because I asked what their policy was. And yeah...knowing I won't have to go past 7/17 is pretty damn appealing
