This is growing in our pollinator garden. The leaves kind of smell like methanol. They are not fuzzy. Everyone keeps saying mint, but the leaves are a lot smoother than mint leaves IMO.
If you pull it, is it sending out runners w/new plants to spread? That would be evidence that it's mint. Otherwise I'm not sure what it is.
hmm. There are runners, but I really don't think its mint lol. I ran it through a plant identifier app and it said Beebalm or common boneset. I looked up mint on the app and can't find one that looks like it, plus it indicates that mint plants are often downy and this is not.
karinothing, thanks. DH needs to download something now that he has proven that he can't identify poison freaking ivy. Which, we have learned, he is also ALLERGIC to.
When I saw the picture, I was thinking- why can't I have good stuff randomly growing in my yard, instead of freaking ivy and mugwart. Lucky!
