2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Feeling pretty good overall. We have maternity photos tonight. I wish it wasn't blazing hot today but we'll be in lots of shaded areas. Hoping they turn out.
3. Questions for the group? Nothing for this week.
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? We received both a Hatch Changing pad with a built-in scale and a Miku baby monitor for our shower this past weekend that we're pretty excited about. Curious as to what App was should use to track feeding/poop/etc?
1. How far along are you this week? 34+5. 4+3 to go.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Chair came in this week! I just need a nightstand and a couple of impossible to find decorations and then the nursery will be done!
I came down with a cold on Friday and I'm miserable. I finally seem to be on the mend. H slept elsewhere last night and I didnt even get to enjoy the solo bed time because I'm so large and congested. Whom, whom.
3. Questions for the group? Third tri folks - what's left on your to do list?
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? I'm super low tech when it comes to this kind of stuff. I live and die by my video monitor, but much prefer my paper version of a daily log.
1. How far along are you this week? 33 + 1 5.5 weeks to go 😳
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I think I’ve reached the “go to the chiro weekly” stage since I’m constantly achy in my hips/Pelvis/SI joints
I’m obsessing over freezer meals again. I think because it’s something I can control? Idk but it’s annoying since we have plenty of delivery options.
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps?Monitors? Etc? FIL is renting a SNOO for us but other than that we are pretty low tech on the Baby front

1. How far along are you this week? 24+4
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? DS1 climbed/threw/jumped/fell out of his crib on Saturday during nap for the second time this month so......we moved him to his big boy bed on Saturday night. Totally unplanned, but at this point I felt the crib was dangerous. I was so nervous, but he did great! Sat and Sun nights he stayed in bed until we got him in the morning. I was dreading nap on Sunday because I thought this would be where we really had problems, but it went fine too. It's been taking him about an hour to fall asleep in his big boy bed, but I'm hoping that shortens as he gets used to it/excitement wears off. Thankfully he spends that hour just sitting up and talking to himself.
Now that he's out of the nursery, I spent Sunday evicting DS1's stuff out of there. Man...he has more stuff than I thought. Also--his new dresser is much smaller than his old one so I need to figure out some more creative ways of storing his clothes. Next weekend I'll pull out the newborn clothes and get those into the nursery dresser. In some ways it's good this happened now while I have the energy to do this all. LOL Originally we were planning on making the move at about 30 weeks.
So proud of him! I hope he keeps it up!
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? Not really. We will need to get a second video baby monitor. Not sure if we will buy the same one DS1 has (just add a second camera) or give DS2 his old one and get a new one for DS1 (can't decide if I need one that can pan the whole room for DS1 now that he's out of his crib. His old one was fine for crib, but it seems not as ideal for getting the whole room).
The only other thing I can think of is that I think we'll get a Hatch Baby Rest. We just use a cheap alarm clock with white noise for DS1, but that one looks cool!
hamster -assemble chair side table & bedside table -assemble shelves -hang prints in babies room -touch up baseboards in babies room -print helpful chore/laundry/grocery charts & put on fridge -make padsicles -pack kid bags -pack diaper bag -pack hospital bag -install car seats -wash baby stuff -finish freezer meals -hang bookshelf in kitchen and babies room -Renew registration on van -Change address on licence -Get van detailed -buy hospital pajamas or robe for pics
2. Over the weekend I got all the baby clothes washed, sorted by size, and put away, got out the diapers, wipes, got the crib bedding washed and put on, hung a piece of art in the nursery... little things, but they're making me feel a little more ready. We dug the infant car seat out of the basement so Calvin can start the process of all the installing/moving/re-installing to get the kids' seats into their new positions.
3. I'm starting to have trouble in the mornings, particularly with standing, being in the shower, and getting ready. I get nauseous and light headed, and need to sit down. It's super helpful in furtherance of getting myself and my 3 yo out the door and to work/daycare on time. It gets better after I can sit down at my desk a while. I had it last time too toward the end, and also postpartum in the hospital (when it was most extreme). Anyone else, and is there anything I can do to minimize it? Life and parenting aren't slowing down just because I am as we get toward the end.
4. We're reusing our Infant Optics DXR-8 monitor from DD, just need to replace the battery in the monitor unit. We already have a 2nd camera. Nothing fancier than that planned. Interested in recs for nursing/pumping apps though. I used one called Baby Nursing last time to track nursing/pumping (didn't bother with diapers, weight, etc. too much) but I didn't like that the data was saved locally, so I couldn't access it via both my iPad (which I mostly kept in DD's room for during feedings) and my iPhone. It's been 3.5 years so I figure there must be something better by now?
3. Questions for the group? Third tri folks - what's left on your to do list?
- install car seats - find a place in the house for our luggage, which used to be in DS's closet. - finish re-homing the girl clothes that we can't re-use to make space in the house - finish the registry (trying to pick a high chair, infant tub, and a few other things that I'm having trouble remembering what they are) - once the registry is done, do the completion discount "big order" ... obviously not as big an order as when we were doing this for the first time, but still, need some new stuff. - complete the order for my pump through insurance. Decided on the Spectra S1 this time, which was available at an $80 upcharge. - wash all the bottles from last time, replace the nipples, sanitize the pump parts - order daycare labels for DS - organize for the May neighborhood yard sale, because we desperately need to downsize stuff since we're losing our office bedroom - finish making the curtains for DS's room and hang them - pick a middle name - think about any clothes for both kids for pics when DS is a newborn - update my Amazon S&S to restart the wipes, diapers etc. subscriptions - buy/make sure I have pads, lanolin, witch hazel pads, and other postpartum needs - bake some snacks for myself for maternity leave and freeze. - OMFG WRAP UP AT WORK SOMEHOW - pack hospital bag - make lists for DD/have a bag started in case MIL takes her, and wants to take her to her house (instead of watching her at ours) - get/keep bills paid as far in advance as practical since my mind won't be on that immediately postpartum. - possibly pre-schedule estimated tax payments due 6/15 (same reason)
hamster, I was feeling so prepared and ready, then we went online to complete our registries on Sunday and now I feel behind! We have like 22 shipments coming from Target & Amazon, and will hopefully get most of that unpacked and ready this next weekend so we can relax a bit. Getting car seats installed and maybe inspected is high on that list.
We have maternity photos tonight, baby CPR/first aid on Wednesday, and breastfeeding class on Monday.

1. How far along are you this week? 19w4d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? It’s a boy! The anatomy scan looked good from my point of view but we will get the report from the midwife tomorrow.
We are all shocked it is a boy because I feel exactly the same as I did during DD’s pregnancy. My cravings have been a bit different but not alarmingly so. DD is definitely going to take a while to get used to the idea. We finally figured out why she was so certain it was a girl. She thought mommy’s had girl babies and daddy’s had boy babies. Ahhh 3 year old logic.
3. Questions for the group? Any STMs administered oxytocin for atonic uterus during or just after delivery? I wasn’t given any last time and wound up with retained product and PP hemorrhage three weeks later. The midwife mentioned this would be the best course of action. Seems as though many places do it as a matter of course but not my hospital. Just wondering about any experiences with the continuing contractions.
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? hahaha nope. We didn’t even set up and use our Angelcare monitor properly for DD. Just used the sound, not the crib movement pad thing. We’ll set that up for the new baby and get DD some new nightlight. Thinking we need one of those ready to wake clocks. Today she woke up at 6 and wanted to get out of bed since the sun was up. Ugh. She went to bed super late!

Oh ya and we have the registry completion stuff coming so that will needs to be put away 🤦🏻♀️ I think the only thing that has to be assembled is the high chair/bouncer and Snoo.
aprilsails I had a PPH after Ds1. When Ds2 was born I got a shot of pitocin immediately after delivery and had no issues/complications. I will be getting pitocin after delivery for Ds3 as well.

1. How far along are you this week? 23 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? My baby is already dramatic. I fly home to Canada next week and I can’t wait!
3. Questions for the group?
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc?
I am super techy but I haven’t really gotten much/plan to get much for baby. I got a video monitor that’s cool but no wifi. There’s some apps I really like and will download closer to when I’m due. Baby tracker, baby breastfeeding. Something to tell me when I can breastfeed again after drinking (my SIL had one and I need to get the name) because priorities!

I wouldn't over think this.
I usually had a glass of wine WHILE I was feeding DS. I figured it's the best time because by the time DS had to eat again it would be ok. Also, BFing is boring as sin so it gave me something to do.
I was not too strict about any waiting period though. You'd have to be pretty wasted to be passing the alcohol on. This biggest risk is that you'd drop the baby, not that the alcohol would harm them.
I did once feed him when I probably shouldn't have. I had a lot of vodka shots that night. He seems ok so far.
And don't bother pumping and dumping. My trick was that sometimes I would dilute that bottle with something I pumped from a different session.

This is the best response ever. I’ve read a bit of this about drinking immediately after so then good to go.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Still feeling like garbage. Have my NT scan on Thursday so crossing my fingers all looks good.
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? We have a video monitor, but since I’ve had my first I know there have been cool apps that show the video on your phone, so I like that idea.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? The baby keeps rolling around up high, and it’s causing my ribs to feel like they are popping around. It hurts and it’s really getting old. My sleep has gotten progressively worse over the last week and I am so exhausted! I also just found out, my doctor is out indefinitely! We have been moved to the other doctor in the clinic, but there is only 2 of them, and it’s the busiest OB office in the city. It should be interesting. The new doctor is the best high risk OB, so that is good for me. On a positive note, this is my last week of work!! I am so excited!
3. Questions for the group?
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? I got the Owlet sock and camera. Might seem excessive and unnecessary, but I am super anxious, so if it calms me a little, I think it will be worth it!

Man, I can’t wait for wine again. And beer.
I really hate that pumping/dumping and not drinking while BF are advice that people give because it's so not accurate. So little alcohol actually makes it into the BM and "rules" like these are just another barrier that limit how long women end up BFing. Just don't get wasted and feed your kid and you're good to go.
Enjoy your beer and wine!
I once BFed DS at a vineyard while drinking a glass of wine. I wish I could have gotten pictures of all the oldz making comments on BF-ing in public and drinking. LOL

1. How far along are you this week? 5w4d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Randoms? Idk I’m so freaking tired. I don’t remember being THIS tired with the other two. I just sleepwalked (slept walked?) through the grocery store and home. And I have no idea what we will eat with the ingredients I purchased. Cross your fingers for me that the 5 & 3.5YOs cooperate and nap well for me this week, so I can. Oh! And my first appointment is Wednesday. It’s usually pretty worthless, so I don’t expect much.
3. Questions for the group? Don’t think so..
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? I don’t think so. I’m hoping our old infant optics monitor/cameras continue to limp along 6 years later.
Something to tell me when I can breastfeed again after drinking (my SIL had one and I need to get the name) because priorities!
There's plenty of stuff on the market for this exact purpose, but I never found it to be something I needed to buy to help me figure out. Alcohol clears from your milk the same as it does from your bloodstream, so I just apply the same decision process to BFing as driving -- I don't test my BAC before I do, I just count drinks, time, consider how I feel, and err on the conservative side.
ETA: I've also had a couple drinks during my pregnancy in 2nd-3rd tri, so clearly I'm not super precisely concerned about the BFing/drinking situation. I never got hammered while BFing DD, but also never dumped what I'd pumped on account of drinking.
3. Questions for the group? Third tri folks - what's left on your to do list?
I felt so ready until I realized I wasn’t! I took a clothing inventory last week and realized that I have a lot of clothes still to buy! I also need to buy crib sheets, mattress pads, bottle nipples, some ready made formula, stuff to make a little first aid kit, etc. - Need to install her car seat - Pack a hospital bag - Pick a name!! - unpack, clean and set up the Baby Brezza - get all feeding supplies ready - buy after birth supplies (namasteak how are you making your padsicles? What are the best pads to use?) - deep clean the house - organize her closet - clean out and organize the deep freeze - meal prep a couple freezer meals
I am sure there is more, I just can’t think of it. I will need to see other to do lists to jog my memory!

1. How far along are you this week? 13+5...almost out of first tri!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We picked a name! Lucas Patrick...boys names were really easy for us. After telling my MIL to please keep the sex/name off Facebook she’s broken that rule twice 😒😒 DH is going to have to have a talk with her. She has diarrhea of the mouth when it comes to oversharing.
3. Questions for the group?
4.Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? We haven’t talked about it a ton, but I would like one of the monitors that I can see from my phone.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Growth scan last week was perfect. So far nothing really to report, feeling good for being this far along. I am struggling with how to prioritize wrapping stuff up at work, without knowing how much time I actually have to get it all done. A bunch of knowledge transfer meetings are planned for this week.
3. Questions for the group? Nope.
For hamster , TODO: order newborn size cloth diapers and wet bags pick up random little things like gas drops move dresser into DS's room and get clothes put away figure out some diaper changing setup for my room get last load of stuff from my dad, including car seats buy a new car (lol, probably not happening) finish sewing ring sling
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? I am feeling super minimalist with this kid so nah. I might try to rig up my iPhone and iPad as an ad hoc monitor when the need arises.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We went to Palm Springs over the weekend and it was nice to relax. It was DS's first time in the pool and I'm not sure how he liked it. Took a while to even get a smile out of him.
3. Questions for the group? Not right now.
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? We have an owlet for DS that he's still using. Once DD gets here, we'll use it for her. It's helped tremendously for my peace of mind.
Please please please post a review of the SNOO once you've had a chance to try it out. Its on my want list but the price tag is giving me pause.

Definitely will! We decided to rent it because honestly $100/month for better sleep seems worth it! Plus if it doesn't work we can always return it after the first month.

1. How far along are you this week? 12w5d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? My local Rhea Lana's consignment sale is this Saturday and since the next one isn't until October, we are going to go. I'm mostly hoping they have some decent maternity clothes but we may also pick up some baby gear. Probably not a great idea to buy a bunch before any showers take place but I know we won't get everything. Plus I'm pretty picky
Also - fingers crossed my NIPT results come back this week and we can go ahead and announce! I'd also love to know gender before we buy much.
3. Questions for the group? Anyone have a fibroid? I used IVF (so lots of ultrasounds/tests) and had polyps removed before my first round but had no fibroids. At my NT scan, she said I have a 5.2 cm fibroid now. OB said nothing of it but ultrasound tech said I'll probably feel it as I grow. Of course googling led me down a dark path... I'm hoping since the OB didn't mention it, that it's at a position that won't cause any problems? Anyone have complications due to one?
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? I was hoping to pass the monitor decision off on DH He basically controls our entire house on his smartphone so I figure that's his territory...
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Had my cerclage put in on Friday, went well, but the resident that assisted my doctor was the same resident who had confirmed my water broke last year at 20w and was pretty harsh and pushy when we decided to try to hold onto the pregnancy and try to make it to viability. We did end up losing the the baby a week later, but he was just extra about it.
3. Questions for the group? None this week
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? Still early for me, but we'll probably invest in a great monitor, just because that's something I can see my husband getting into.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I took a vacation day today to get stuff done and was pretty productive! I painted DD's room and I've run all over the city picking up things I need from FB marketplace sellers today and over the weekend. There is still a ton to do, but I'm feeling good that I knocked some stuff off the list.
3. Questions for the group?
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? Nah, I'll get another video monitor that's all.
hamster, there is far too much stuff still on my list. Almost everything lol sob. Priorities include:
buy out amazon registry items (created just for discount) install car seat set up baby's room (put up curtains, stuff on walls, organize changing table, etc) figure out how to order pump from (new) insurance
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? The boob pain, oh I'm so over the boob pain. It's like red hot needles being stuck in my breasts. Also H is oot this week and I'm already feeling exhausted. Yay first trimester.
3. Questions for the group? How early does rlp show up? I don't remember it a ton with my first, though that was three years ago. Lately though if I move just right I get this sharp cramping sort of pain located near my right hip bone. Is that rlp or something else?
4. Anything tech-related you are planning on getting/using for baby? Special apps? Monitors? Etc? Not anything new at this time, though I reserve the right to change my mind later, ha. We're planning on using the same video monitors for this baby as our toddler (one we are a part of the beta testing for - smartbeat, and we have a lollipop camera too).
