Dear potential landlord, Your communication is horrible. I am interested in your rental, have the money, have excellent credit and a security clearance so you don't need to worry about me passing a background check. I will be the best tenant you have ever had. So quit stringing me along on a viewing and answer my texts and emails! Signed, I need this rental
Dear STBXH, I can't take your up and down emotions. This is one of the reasons I'm glad we're done. Signed, Stressed out
Dear Camp, I am so happy to be back!! I feel SO much better when I work out. It’s worth getting up at 4:30am to do it. I’ve already worked 4 hours today. So that’s pretty awesome, too. Happy Camper
Dear Work, I am so grateful for flexibility. I figured out the programming issue that was bothering me at 6:20am, probably because no one was interrupting me. And now I am working in my car while my mom sees her therapist - thank you, iPhone hot spot. I’ll meet friends for lunch while IT rebuilds something and finish this afternoon to take DD to get her cast off. And I will still hit a 9 hour workday as I will finish reporting after DD’s appointment. Then DH and I are having a dinner date at a salad place we haven’t tried. Feeling a Little Charmed
Take the job offer. I'm glad you're trying to negotiate for more since it's less than you make now, but the salary they're offering you is fair and works with our budget. I promise. You won't even notice that the cash salary is slightly less. The benefits are amazing, and this is the job that you really want.
Signed, Never thought I'd tell you to take a paycut.
PS I'll miss your current company's summer get aways, but I'm pretty sure I won't miss the weird themes.
Dear WPs Got a call back from the doctors office last night. My bloodwork came back in the normal range so technically not anemic is what the nurse said. Went to bed early last night and slept like the dead and feel 10x better this morning. 186momx
Dear DD Wow you and the rest of the class really focused for Coach T last night. Coach T coaches level 4/5 normally but was filling in for Coach J. I have no idea what the difference was but now I know you can do it. It was also interesting that Coach T was on you about your feet needing to be together and you pointed out that they are and she was yes but they need to be like this and then she made you do it that way each time. Me who enjoyed my 2 hours of chill time at the gym
Dear DS, Please chill out. You are excitable and energetic and fun. But you need to chill out at school. I’m glad you have a lot of friends but you need to include everyone and be kind always. You overwhelm some of the quieter kids and they are intimidated by you. And you acting on your wild bear hug impulses and playing soccer aggressively makes it worse (I know leaning shoulder to shoulder isn’t a foul and is okay but this is school not your comp team). You’re 7 now, you need to control yourself. We are trying to help you but are feeling lost and don’t know how to best resolve this. Thanks, Worried mom

Dear MIL,
Know what the common name for pharynitis is? Sore throat. Stop trying to make us think you are SICK. And please stop with the vague texts to DH about your illness. If you had just told him you had a sore throat he would still have brought the kids over tonight to visit. Instead you had to send him texts about the doctor saying you have a virus, but the kids have already been exposed so it's no big deal if you see them. Now you don't get to see the kids and 100 bucks are going to be pissy.
I’m so happy you had a good fifth birthday. It made me feel so good when you said you wished you had a time machine so you could rewind and do your whole day again.
Love, Mommy
Dear Son’s Teacher:
Thank you for sending pictures of DS celebrating yesterday. I don’t think he’s had many opportunities to feel special in your class this year, especially since you’ve frankly missed about as many days as you’ve been there, but yesterday you hit it out of the ballpark.
Dear Heat Pump Companies I can't believe how wildly off your bids have been. Big company I expected an inflated bid and was shocked by 6900 for a new heat pump, compressor, thermostat with inhouse warranty and can install within the next couple weeks. Small company that my sole prop repair guy swore was the cheapest and best around just gave me a bid for 8500 for the same exact thing except warranty is by manufacturer so 3rd party. I liked the small guy who did the bid better personality wise than the big company dude but not for an extra $1600. Confused homeowner who was expecting 10K so is happy with under 7k
Dear work, Woo! This week is fun! Late nights discussing random industry stuff and ideas over drinks with colleagues, doing some fun graphic design stuff that I rarely get to play with, and giving a few presentations on fun stuff all in one week? It's crazy busy, but also totally reinvigorating. These are all things I love about my career! Signed, Happy Camper
Dear self, You don't want to be back in start up chaos world. You did that for years, you had fun, and then you hated your life. Figure out how to get that thrill out of your current gig and join some industry groups to get it out of your system. Signed, Me
I need you to go ahead and pull the plug on the dead weight employee you gave a final 60 day warning to 30 days ago. He has had 4 write ups since then. Just put us all out of our misery, fire him, and let me start the search for his replacement.
Signed, Just one of about 6 people who's days are WAY more difficult bc he can't do his job even a little bit.
You’re pretty awesome. I came in 15 minutes before close with an iPhone picture and vague description of what I wanted for our house exterior, and you nailed it.
Signed, Never going to Home Depot for paint again
Dear termites, You have now cost me $6k and two months of my life on extermination and wood repair, but at least my house will be newly painted soon.
Dear work,
It was SO nice to be in the office for a full day today after a ridiculous amount of travel lately. Please let my travel slow down soon.
Dear prospective client,
Please please hire us after our presentation next week. It would be a huge win for me and the firm, and I’m missing DH’s birthday for our meeting.
We are both learning how to do sales commissions, with the intention that you assist me as you as the associate analyst and me the senior analyst. We both sat with our coworker who had done it for many years, and took notes while she trained us. I've shared my notes with you and helped you with other questions, as has she. I know you'd like to do more to assist with sales commissions, but honestly, after yesterday, I'm just not sure you're ready. If you ask me a question about a calculation after we spent 20 minutes walking through a calculation for one rep (the day before) and then have the plan document and an example worksheet for a completely different plan in front of you trying to figure out why the worksheet you're calculating is different than the example in front of you, I just don't feel like you're ready to work on this. That's on top of the mistakes you made the past two months on one calculation each month, and blamed it on not having a procedure to follow (um, it's called your notes). The whole reason it was taken away from the previous analyst (who is no longer employed, different than the coworker who trained us) was because he made too many mistakes. I'd rather just do it all myself that worry that the few calculations I give you have mistakes that I'll need to identify and then spend more time telling you how to fix them.
