That is cool! We did end up getting the decals from Etsy from shopEmilyG. Someone here had a bad experience, but I saw that they had added a sunscreen-proof coating about a year ago, so we got them. They were super cute and they held up great all week, through swimming, showers, sunscreen, etc. My daughter's tiny Minnie Mouse bow fell off right after we got home (over a week after application), but I had trouble applying hers and and removed and replaced it a time or two so that wasn't really surprising. The rest look perfect.
I still think it is more fun to decorate/personalize one yourself... especially with the newer style because they're is no decoration on the top, and I have super skinny wrists so the top is pretty much all I see.
We're about to renew our annual passes, so I need to come up with some new designs.
I ordered mine for our August trip. My youngest son bought a stitch one when we were there in January. I promised my older son he could get one this trip, so I ended up getting fun ones for me, DH and DS for about what I spend for DS2's in January and we'll have them for the next 3 trips we take with our APs

So this annoys me. I had gone ahead and selected our magic bands for our October trip a while ago. They had a wide array of basic colors. Now with these new premium options there are only 4 basic colors that are complimentary.

So they offer 8 colors according to a screenshot that I saw....does that mean that only four are the basic/free choice?

Unless I’m missing something - which is totally possible! - there are only 4 free ones.
When I went in to my Disney experience my previous choices were gone - and I have 6 people going and we all had different colors.
They had a run on orders yesterday and only have half of the upgrade band choices today... maybe they ran out of some plain colors too. I would check back after things die down.

Thanks. I will - but I’m annoyed that my preselected chives from a month or so ago are gone.

As an update the 8 free colors are back! My selections that I made weeks ago are still gone, but at least the full array of complimentary colors is there.
I got the white Cinderella Castle. I couldn’t decide between that in park snacks but since this trip is my 10th wedding anniversary I was feeling bridal. Lol
Eric got the Pirates of Caribbean. J got the blue Sorcerer Mickey.

I like all of your choices...well, yours is nms, but I really like your reason for choosing it.
We still haven't ordered ours. I was actually thinking of getting the Epcot one for both of us and then having that be the background for some personalization. Our passes are tied to H's account, so we will order them when he comes home this weekend. We renewed our passes during the week that he was home between his 6wk trip and his current (nearly 3 wks total) trip, but didn't get around to ordering new MB.
I held off on ordering and now a good bit are sold out. I'll check back next week and hope some are back in stock, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I looked a few times 2-3 weeks ago and everything was sold out but the solid color bands, so I'm glad they have something back in stock.
I think it was last week (or maybe the week before) that one of the Disney blogs said that they had more stock in, but we forgot, and waited to order until we had some free time on Sunday. DH decided not to upgrade, so it didn't matter anyway.

I have had the hardest time upgrading. We have 5 days left and I have been trying daily for the past 5 days and it will not let me complete my order. Also every time I log in the band selection changes. At least if I don't upgrade it will save us some money, although the kids will be disappointed I'm sure.

I just called because I couldn't complete my order. They told me that if I get that error, the band is sold out. You'd think they wouldn't list it if it was sold out...the selection has changed almost every time I have logged in, but I would expect that there'd be a better user experience.
