Interesting house sales approach

A month or so ago, a mother and son did two viewings of our house and seemed interested but didn't put in an offer. They have a local house that they are selling or converting to flats and then sell (can't remember exact details). They did talk to our estate agency's suggested mortgage company, so our estate agent was hopeful. But they hadn't responded since.

A week ago, the mother saw me outside the house and asked if we were still on the market and if we were in a rush to sell. (she also wanted to see if we could do a deal) We ran into her again with her son and the woman told us how much she liked our house and hoped it would still be available after she was in a position to buy it (after selling her property) and wanted to come to see the house with an architect friend if we're around.

Not sure if anything will come out of this or if she's offer high enough, but it gives me a bit of hope.
