I’m super pissed right now. Flying up to destroy Cersei? Yes. But destroying the entire kingdom? That’s not what she would do. We haven’t seen her character change THAT much.
Now Jon is definitely going to have to kill her.
And everybody is destroying the city. I've seen both professional soldiers and the soldiers from a variety of kingdoms taking part in this murderous rampage. There is no honour anywhere. The North and the like complained about the sack of KL after Rhaegar was killed and now they're doing it. Ugh.
I can't believe the damn bell leak was true. I could see it triggering Cersei's PTSD, after her walk of shame, but this?

You could basically see that realization on Jon’s face.
I feel like the battle of winterfell was such a red herring. It was a distraction because the night king was 100% bad, really, and so were the white walkers. Which made everyone on the side of the living good by default. And now we're back to the fact that everyone is actually awful... the living are really even more awful. The white walkers had limited-to-no agency, unlike literally every single person on this episode.
God, I feel like 5 minutes in this episode says everything about Greyworm's character and his past and how his whole life has brought him to this. He was essentially abused into becoming what he was (unsullied), not unlike what Ramsey did to Theon - broken down into no one, but before he even knew who he was. And now he's not just loyal to Dany for giving him his freedom, he's after revenge to those who took away everything good he has ever known. And, obvi, he's a trained killer.
It definitely dawned on me that maybe "no one" kills Cersei once Jaime found her in this episode. I'm pretty pissed that it turns out Jaime actually did love Cersei until the end, though. I think that really harms his character development, lol.
I sort of think they are going to hand that prize to Jon. But I definitely think she will be involved. I thought she was a goner for a minute there tonight.

The leaks I rea⁹d were accurate.
The leaks said Cersei and Jamie would die in each others arms and danys army would go wild on the city the clegane brothers would burn together. And Varys would be executed by dragon fire.
Then I assume the next episodes leaks are true as well so Idk. Man she had it though Danny had what she wanted what she fought for with no casualties...but she took missandei words to heart. Damn shame.
yup. A friend came over to watch with me and we both sat there dumbfounded at the end. I didn’t enjoy that at all. What, 45 minutes of dany just burning the city for no apparent reason?!

Me too, for sure. I never thought he was returning because he loved her, I thought he was returning because he wanted to stop her and redeem himself.
Also I am pissed because I thought one of the spoilers (that was otherwise right, including the dialogue from the scene) had Jaime stab Cersei to death.
My DH says we don't know 100% for sure for sure that they are dead, though.
Jon you fucking idiot. The writing has been on the goddamn wall and this is ON YOU. THIS IS WHY SANSA DIDNT KEEP HER MOUTH SHUT. YOU GODDAMN MORON. YOU TOO TYRION.
I’d like to change the name of the show to listen to Sansa.

Yeah, I kind of have decided that Jamie went back just to make sure she was taken care of. I don't even know if he cared about redemption, but he just knew that if he was there, she wouldn't run. Not that there was anywhere to run to at that point. ETA: and this is in no way me advocating for his redemption.

For a long time I've thought Dany would take the capital through "fire and blood" like she's said repeatedly. She's made awful and terrible choices previously (crucifying people). Jon doesn't make the best choices sometimes, he's a slow learner, but he's a good person. Daenerys has only ever been concerned about that damn throne and her destiny. I hope Jon kills her, the throne is destroyed, and the 7 kingdoms split to be ruled my just people whom are chosen by their people.
I’ve long thought this would happen - Dany losing it and burning KL - but I just don’t feel like how it’s gone down is very satisfying.
I feel like the last half of this season has been slapped together based on half-ass fan theories. And considering that I've only understood about 60% of the show anyway, that's not speaking highly of the show runners/writers. I still love Arya killing the NK though.
