I think I just searched contraction timer in the Google play store and picked the first one. I forget exactly what it was called, as I've already uninstalled it. I used the shit out of it though... from 28 weeks on!
I didnt like the one on the Ovia app though because I had to open the app, find the contraction timer, then I could start timing. I was able to just click on the timing app, then hit the button.

That’s a good point. My contractions progressed from basically nothing to 5 minutes apart super quickly, and at 5 minutes apart they became super hard to track because I was in pain and trying to finish packing and hard to get to my phone and open the app to log them. Got to the hospital at 7-8 cm dilated. 😧

This does not help my fear of not knowing I'm in labor in time!

To be fair, I didn't know I was in labor this time either. Neither did all the labor nurses I was having breakfast with either, haha!
My BH contractions were every 5-10 minutes (no cervical dilation), but my labor contractions (with cervical dilation) were every 10-15 minutes. Go figure. Bodies are dumb.
After having lunch with my OB (as I stayed on the monitor and we watched tv because she is AWESOME) I’m back home. I’ve dilated and effaced more this week but no one seems concerned 🤷🏻♀️they faded out but are clearly doing something so I’m just going to keep an eye on it & only time ones that make me stop whatever I’m doing.
Also I totally want to rent a bloomlife but it makes me weirdly nervous because I would worry I used it too much.
I had one. It was useful for picking up the contractions I didn't know I was having. When I went into L&D at 33 weeks, I only felt contractions about every 7-10 minutes. But my bloomlife was picking them up every 4-5. And the L&D monitor was picking them up every 3-4. Had I just been sitting at home with no bloomlife, I wouldn't have gone in, and wouldn't have gotten the vistaril to keep my contractions at bay, and may have had a baby much earlier than 40 weeks.
The biggest downside to bloomlife is that you HAVE to be still. It will not record if you're moving. I used it like 3x/week for an hour or two each time. I got my FSA money's worth.
I didn’t know this was a thing. I’ve never timed my contractions either. With my first I went to the hospital once I felt a few painful contractions ( the hospital was within walking distance ) and my second was an induction and I slept through my contractions (epidural). This one will likely be induced so I’m guessing I don’t need to time them. Also it’s my third and I’m an hour away from hospital. My OB said once I have contractions just get to the hospital ASAP.
Um, I’ve had two kids and didn’t even no contraction timers were a thing??? Exits quietly.
haha, right? I never timed my contractions because they didn't start until after my water broke and I was already in the hospital. No point in timing them, I could already tell that they were gaining in intensity and length and coming on more rapidly.
