The vent/randoms thread from yesterday started to veer into @ randoms, so here's a new thread for Wed randoms.
I have had a headache for 3 days and I'm on my last nerve at work because of it. Having a pounding head makes me very grumpy! That, or people are being unusually infuriating today.
Also looking for recs for a new digital camera. I would like something that can take reasonably good pictures with nice colors and adjustment to light with no real knowledge of photography, can snap photos reasonably quickly one after the other, and doesn't suck at a distance or if the subject isn't *completely* still. Ideally we would spend less than $250. Any recommendations?
We're about halfway done unpacking in the new house, and I've opened every single box. My summer blouses are nowhere to be found and I'm starting to panic

Along these lines - I'm painting our kitchen cabinets. We emptied them and now that the frames are done, we're putting everything back. I have NO IDEA where 80% of our glasses are! Obviously they are somewhere in our house, but it's so frustrating not knowing where they ended up!
My H starts his summer vacation tomorrow. I don't start until Saturday (have to work through Friday). I am already bracing myself for the annoyance of working from home with another adult underfoot for two days straight. I'm sure he'll manage to keep himself busy, I just hope that his plans don't somehow involve me. He tends to forget that I do actual work when I'm at home. He kind of takes the attitude of, "Oh, you're here so you can help me move furniture to clean the carpets!" Or, "You're here, so do you want to run to the grocery store real quick?"

GAH - I'm already irritated.
I WFH 4 days a week, and when my husband used to work relatively close to our house he would often pop home for lunch. It drove me completely crazy. Now he works 40 minutes away and can't do that.
There is some major construction/ renovations going on at work on the floor below me. the noise is ridiculous. Extremely loud jackhammering, drilling, banging all the time. yesterday they shut off the water in our bathroom and kitchen. It sucks enough for the staff, but I really feel bad for my patients having to deal with this. It's the opposite of a therapeutic environment. I'm sure our patient satisfaction scores will tank and I kinda' hope they will so administration can see how disruptive this is.
On a more personal note, I have a cold and feel yucky. :-(

That would drive me insane. Once every now and then would be sweet, if it worked with my schedule. But I need to have the ability to say, "I'm sorry - I can't stop working right now."
And for the love of God WHY DO I HAVE TO ASK YOU TO TURN THE TV DOWN? We're in a shared space, and I have conference calls - it is not that hard to be considerate! (He's really good about turning the TV down or off as soon as he knows I'm on a conference call...I just don't like having my flow interrupted, that's all.)
I had scheduled a personal shopper appointment at Macy's because I need a formal dress for my brother's wedding next month, but nobody ever got back to me to confirm the appointment. I'm going to contact them now to see if there's actually going to be someone there to help me.
There's a David's Bridal nearby. I see a few Wedding Guest dresses on their website I like, as well as some Bridesmaid dresses. I've never been to DB - would it be worth it to look there, or is it junk? Can I buy a "Bridesmaid" dress off the rack or do those need to be ordered?
ETA: Macy's told me nobody will be there tomorrow so I need to pick another day. *headdesk*
I've tried a few things on in-store and also ordered something off the website, and none of them worked on me, so I'm done with Macy's. So David's Bridal it is, I guess. Probably a mall, too.
seeyalater52, We have a Nikon a900, and love it. It has a really amazing zoom and takes great photos.
I have seen it at the top of your budget and up, but you may be able to find a better price. When I bought mine I bought it from ther most convenient place and had it delivered to our hotel, (I waited too long to decide that I needed a new camera), so it may not have been the best price.
Both of my siblings have purchased the same camera because they were so impressed with my photos.
My veggie garden got installed today! My house got cleaned today! I am finally going to watch the VEEP finale tonight! I just wish I weren't so dang exhausted.
My appliances have started to fail... at the same time. First was the washer on Sunday. The dishwasher has been limping along for a month now. The hot water heater is also not doing well... Everything is original to my house (17 years old) so while not surprising, it's annoying and a hassle. Here's to hoping we can make it until the Memorial Day or 4th of July sales for the rest of the purchases (besides the washer).

We moved a month ago and can not find our oven mitts, silicone lids, and reusable zip lock bags. I’m sure there are other things in that box too, wherever it is. 😕
I've apparently decided that buying things from random internet-only companies is my jam.
Bombas socks, Third love bras, rothys shoes, allbirds.
So, give me your recs. What should I try out next?
I haven’t tried it but I’m intrigued by the coco floss. I made the mistake of clicking on an ad in IG and now I get them all the time. Has anyone tried it?

I’m considering Bombas no show socks. Worth it?
100%.
I have both the regular sock-tyoe no-show sock and the ones for ballet flat type shoes and they're both my favorites. Cause I guess I'm a person who spends $12 on a pair of socks now.

I've been using Billie razors for a while and I'm a fan. I saw a facebook ad that showed them shaving actual hair instead of already clean-shaven legs and I had to try.
