Does anyone have a good resource for videos I could watch with my daughter? She is 9 and has anxiety and OCD and struggles with social skills at times.
Specifically I’m looking for videos that role play not getting worked up (acting bored) when someone is trying to get under your skin. She tends to be more receptive when her psychologist works with her vs me but her psychologist is gone for next 3 weeks.
I’m searching on YouTube but there are so many videos and many are for kids with greater needs and/or younger than her.
But have you reached out to the counselor at your school? I just had to do this for some school related anxiety in my 8 year old. The counselor met with her and thought she'd be a good candidate for a weekly lunch bunch where they go over different scenarios including ones just like that. DD is thrilled to not be alone in her feelings and is so excited.

Thank you yes she already has a 504 and support at school. Just looking for some support while her psychologist is away. She does not like to role play with me and will begrudgingly do it with her psychologist. I was hoping a video might help. She intellectually knows what to do but her emotions take the lead and she can’t do it. Her psychologist says the role playing will hopefully help it become more accessible.

Try looking up social detective. The counsellor at my school uses this occasionally and was recently promoting it for teachers to use with their whole class. It had little videos of situations and kids would choose the best socially appropriate reaction. I think there were other games and stuff too.
