If you guys won't get tired of it, I'll post weekly while my addition is being built. It's amazing how fast it all happens.
Before: T.v. room and garage emptied out (plus one bewildered dog) -- the addition encloses the porch into the t.v. room and knocks down the garage, adding a master bedroom/bathroom/laundry where the garage is and beyond
Day #1 - garage walls torn down
Day #2: Garage stripped down to beams
Day #3: Garage completely gone, front wall of t.v. room, porch, and mudroom gone
The whole addition will be 33 feet wide -- about 13 feet for the mudroom/master bath and about 20 feet for the master bedroom. It will extend about 15 - 18 feet beyond where the garage ended, I think. It didn't seem so big on the plans, but now looking at it...it's pretty big. But we are building laterally, not vertically, to get the ground-floor bedroom.

Oops sorry, I meant length as in duration of the project!

Oh, sorry! They said about 12 weeks total. It seemed optimistic to me, but they certainly seem to be moving along at a fast clip! And we got multiple bids...the price swung by $150k from the lowest to the highest bid, but all of them said 12 weeks.
