My dad is a Republican, but hates Trump. His plan is to vote for Weld in the primary and "anyone the Democrats choose, including Satan" in the election.
I haven’t talked to them about it, but I will see them plus grandparents and a few other family members for the Fourth and will ask.
They aren’t hyper-aware like I am, so I’m not sure they’ll have made any choices yet. My grandma was/is a huge Obama fan, and regularly posts anti-Trump memes contains expletives to FB. She’s fucking awesome so I’m looking forward to her take in particular.
My dad leans towards Warren. My mom leans towards Kamala and is a hard no on Bernie and Biden which shocked me. My dad loves policy, so Warren makes sense. I assumed my very pro life Catholic mother would be all in on Biden.

My dad likes Biden. He's the exact person Biden talks to: older (65), white, blue collar worker, from Western Pennsylvania.
My mother in law is one of those women who doesn't realize she does it but is against other women. She will vote for anyone but trump but I would bet $1,000,000 she has something negative to say about Warren and Harris. I could see her liking Biden.
I'm really interested in seeing who my father in law likes. He researches people to the extreme so I have no idea who he would pick. He will vote D no matter who though.
My mom is a lifelong Dem and my dad is a centrist who has switched back and forth and is currently switching from R to D.
I don't think they have favorites yet. They will both vote for any Dem nominee- even my dad who voted 3rd party in 2016. Neither one likes Bernie and they think Biden is too old. Both have been impressed with Buttigieg coming out of nowhere, and my mom oddly keeps talking about Swalwell because he was on some talk show she watched. My dad thinks Warren is anti-business, which is how he measures everyone- either pro- or anti-business. But even he will admit corporate greed is out of control.
We're in PA so I'm thrilled my dad won't vote 3rd party again this time.
My dad likes Warren and my mom was all on the Beto train until yesterday and realized he ain’t gonna make it. She was floored by how strong Harris looked last night and I think was swayed to her. Both of them are tired of Biden, Sanders, and the other white dudes. My dad leans more conservative Dem, so I’m excited at his pick so far
I just asked them briefly. Their top 3 is Warren, Bernie, Harris. They agreed that they don't like the way Bernie is so shouty, but I think they like his policies a lot. Their concern with Harris is her past as a prosecutor may haunt her. They did watch the debates (I didn't, just read y'all's commentary after).

My father in law just called to talk politics. He was very impressed with Mayor Pete, Gillibrand, and Klobuchar. He likes Harris, Warren, and Booker. He wants to hear more from Castro. He thinks Biden and Bernie are done.
My parents are "independents" but vote republican almost every time. They both like Biden but can't really articulate why and I doubt they'd vote for him in the general.
My MIL... I'm not sure what to think. She's a religious woman in the south so she thinks she's supposed to vote republican, but doesn't. She's become much more liberal (or at least more vocal about it) in the last few years but what that actually means for voting, I'm not sure. She likes Buttigieg and DH and I told her last week that she should look into Warren.

Mom loves Buttigieg. Dad is a Republican but voted for Obama at least once and for Hilary. I’m not sure who he’ll vote for, but I know that if it’s between Trump and Warren, he won’t vote. He HATES her. I can’t reveal the details because they are too identifying of him and his work, but he unequivocally will not vote and neither will my mom if she’s the candidate.
My MIL voted for Lightfoot for mayor because she said she trusted my opinion. I assume she will ask again in the primary. She would probably say Harris or Booker if pushed because a candidate of color is important to her.
I haven't asked. I just know that my mom hates Kamala because she's the one that outed Al Franken (who she was a strong supporter of and voted for). Nevermind my reasoning that even though it sucks, we can't be hypocrites and only call out Republicans who behave inappropriately.
I wouldn’t consider my dad a Democrat but her hates trump so will be voting democrat. Last I talked to him about it he was favoring Buttigieg which I was surprising to me. We haven’t discussed lately but I do know he hates Warren.
I’m pretty sure my mom just voted for who he tells her to.

My dad is a working class guy and he loved warren years ago when she came on the scene. I need to check in with him now. He had a lousy education but he reads a ton and is well informed. He’ll vote dem regardless of the candidate. But I always ask about his friends’ perspectives since they seem to waiver more. Will report back. This is a good question btw. Eta: dad watched night 1 and liked Klobuchar.
Eta 2: folks went to a party and consensus seemed to be that they’re not thrilled with anyone but there’s a year plus to see what happens.
My MIL will vote for whoever the D candidate is but her favorite is Biden. She thinks he has the best chance to beat trump. She thinks Warren doesn’t look presidential, whatever that means. Bernie annoys her. She doesn’t know much about the others but has said multiple times that s woman cannot win against trump.
My dad and I don’t talk politics. My blood pressure can’t take it. He hates Trump but I honestly think he’ll just stay home on Election Day. He rarely votes but always complains about whoever is in office no matter who/what they are.
I need to pick my aunt’s brain. My aunt and uncle are solidly democrats but I don’t know who they are rooting for right now. If I had to guess, my aunt would be Mayor Pete and Harris. My uncle....I have no idea. I know they will vote D no matter what on Election Day.

My dad’s Biden 😐 My mom has a really good friend in CA, who’s all in for Kamala, so even though she’s currently “undecided,” she’s definitely feeling some KH love, especially since that debate ❤️
My parents are all in for anyone who has a D after their name and is not Trump. They’re at their cabin for the summer with no TV and hardly any internet so they are not paying attention to primary stuff. But I do recall them saying they’d prefer someone who is not older than them (they’re 70).
I haven’t asked my in-laws but I would bet $1000 they’d choose Biden right now. But they will definitely vote for whoever the d nominee is.
