I know this board has a lot of owners and people who have experience renting! We just did a stay at Beach Club using rented dvc points and it was amazing! I think I am a convert and never want to stay standard hotel rooms there ever again.
We are looking at doing a Disney Cruise in December 2020 and I’d like to rent DVC points to stay at AKL, probably Savannah view or club level, for two nights.
Is it possible to use David’s or similar for so few nights? I thought I read somewhere that brokers require a minimum number of points, but I’m unclear on this. Would it be more difficult to find an owner who’d be willing to rent us those points vs a longer stay during the holidays?
Clearly planning way in advance, but I am about to book the cruise and want to have a good idea of what to expect. Thanks!
ETA: this would be somewhere between 34-43 points.
The agent we used at the DVC rental store, Lucy Riggs, is fantastic and she would happily answer any questions you have. I'd just shoot her an email if I were you: lucy@dvcrentalstore.com
jaycee, thank you so much for the recommendation. We’ve been emailing and she is wonderful! I had used David’s last time and the experience was very positive but the communication felt very business transactional. We’ll definitely be using her for this trip.

I think booking AKV Club Level through DVC would be very hard. You might be able to get a one bedroom but you need them to find an owner willing to try before the 11 month window opened.

That’s what the DVC rental person said too. David’s showed a really reasonable price difference so I thought we’d try for it, but it sounds like it’s a long shot. She thinks savanna view would be available though.
If not AKL, any thoughts on other places to stay? We aren’t going to do parks this trip which is why I thought AKL would be nice. Our last trips were Beach Club and Poly.
